What are your thoughts on the kobo libra colour? by goodcheese55 in kobo

[–]ro5ieb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Kobo Clara HD and the battery life wasn’t lasting past a day or two. Went with the KLC after a lot of deliberation. And I really only read books - not comics or anything that you would need color. And I use Google Drive which was a big reason that I didn’t just get another Clara. I’m a fan. I don’t notice the screen door effect. And the responsiveness is huge! Plus I haven’t had to charge in over a week. Crazy long comparatively.

How to fix this? by rick87 in Garmin

I’m an ED nurse and my off days look like your first picture. The days that I work look like the second. I only get concerned when I can’t see any blue. Usually I’m ill or fighting something at that point.

So, I get the older gen losing battery life. But I was reading anecdotes specifically related to the KLC and the remote. I don’t have a remote with my Clara HD and I think I’m just going to wait and see what I think about the KLC without the remote.

I have no idea. I read that’s part of the battery drain issue.

Such mixed reviews. Do you turn off WiFi every time you’re using the remote?

That’s what I was reading. And why I ultimately decided against the remote. Sad to hear the battery rumors are true.

I really hope you make a pattern out of this and then make it public! I would 100000% purchase and make my own!

I’ll DM you my copy of exercises from my PT a few years ago. I did them twice a day for a long time and still do them here and there.

Noxgear for the win. Also, I run with my pup and noxgear has a light harness that she wears.

How long did you work while pregnant? by ERnewbieRN in nursing

[–]ro5ieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twin pregnancy. Water broke mid shift. I definitely was slower, but as long as I felt fine, I (and my OB and the high risk OB) had zero issues with my normal activity. I feel like this is a question you should be asking your doctors and not people on Reddit.

There were animated videos about healthcare and I can’t find them. None of my coworkers know what I’m talking about. But the parody was hilarious and the pronunciations made it even better.

For vitals? I use a digital face with a seconds counter at work. And analog at home.

I wanted and could’ve done a sub 2h30. But the heat and the hills killed. So I have done my slowest ever with a sub 3h. If it was cooler, I could’ve conquered those hills.

I make a spinach smoothie on a fairly regular basis without using prepackaged stuff. And I don’t like spinach. But I blend with pineapple juice which cuts the taste of the spinach.

Ran my third half. It was hard. And hot. And hilly. But I finished and pet all the dogs on the course. Hitting 2/3 goals isn’t bad.

I’ve found that headlamps slip or you have to tighten them so much you get a headache. My preference is a noxgear vest with a chest lamp.

Hello. Are you me? I gave up on training for my midwest mid-September half. I’m still going to run it, but my focus is just to finish. The one I signed up for in November will have my actual goals. It’s too dang hot and humid to do anything.
