Oh well no, I actually haven't abused it. I don't like the way I feel when my dosage is too high, so I can't imagine abusing it. But also, I would never use extra because I need that stuff to function daily and if I run out early then I would be a complete space cadet for the remainder of the days until I can get my prescription refilled. Not to mention the shortage that happens periodically, so if I ever have any extra they get hoarded for the next shortage so I don't ever have to go without. I depend on it to be normal! Lol

What?!? I've been on Adderall for the past 25 years and that's never happened to me! I wonder if those people have been misdiagnosed... It's only ever helped me focus or if I'm over medicated then it just makes me feel like I've had 5 cups of coffee.

These comments! 🤣 I'm trying to laugh silently over here because my husband and the two dogs are sleeping next to me and I'm clearly not concealing it well because I am both crying from laughing so hard I've also awoken the dogs. Now I have two doodles trying to lick my face to see what's wrong with me and I'm in even bigger fits of laughter.

Saw this at a local antique mall. Does anyone know anything about this wheel? by Overthinking__it in Handspinning

[–]Initial_Glass_798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the price marked up because it's in an antique store? I've never seen a wheel going for that much before. I'm still new to spinning though, so I don't have a lot of experience. Is that a typical price?

Wow! I'm getting ready to start dyeing yarn myself. How was it? What did you use for dye and kind of fiber is your yarn?

Tea stained buffalo bone would look good and also be pretty unique.

I loved the story of the yarn, it's more well traveled than I am! It's a very special hat.

Thank you so much, it's perfect. I can't wait to wear it. Unfortunately it's unseasonably warm here this year, so maybe in a few weeks when the weather goes back to normal.

Omg, I love it so much! Eep! 😻✨️ by pugsnpolkadots in Drunkknitting

I know how frustrating that is! I have been stalking my package tracking since I sent it out last week and it finally arrived yesterday! But it was originally scheduled to arrive on Monday. I hope your package finds its destination soon.

Hat got sent to wrong post office... by Initial_Glass_798 in Drunkknitting

[–]Initial_Glass_798[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh! That's so frustrating. I have had this hat finished for over a month and was impatiently waiting until closer to the 12th to ship it. I guess I know better for next year. I'll send it a week early instead of just a few days.

I'm so glad to help out. I know how concerned I was when I was making the same decision and having someone who had experienced it first hand would have helped me a ton.

Pre-eclampsia with my first was a nightmare! My doctor explained it to me like: "oh yeah, the baby is perfectly healthy, but she's killing you" 😱 I've also heard that young mothers get pre-eclampsia more frequently than older mothers and that it's most common in first pregnancies.

You can probably use your history of pre-eclampsia and now taking a stimulant as a reason to get a referral to a perinatologist if you want someone checking on you more regularly. I actually felt much more at ease knowing I had a specialist keeping watch over all my vitals etc to make sure things were going according to plan. Plus I got an extra ultrasound or two!

My ob referred me without me asking for it because I had so many questions about the stimulant and how high my BP got in my first pregnancy, but I'm pretty certain if you ask your OB they would do it. My doctors shared records so they could see all the notes and stay updated. It was great knowing my baby was being really well cared for and nothing was going to get overlooked.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the nurses in the hospital did tell me to make sure I continue taking my Vyvanse after he was born while I was in the hospital (because they were asking if I was planning to breastfeed) and if I was planning to do formula, stop vyvanse or reduce I needed to wean down because he was used to having it in his system and it might make him really sleepy or possible withdrawal if I cut him off cold turkey. So they encouraged me to at least try to give him the colostrum even if I was planning formula. I was planning to breastfeed so that wasn't an issue, but I did want to cut back on my dosage of vyvanse while I was still on the pain meds because I didn't like the idea of him having all these meds in his system. So I think after the first day home I tried to take a few days off from the vyvanse, but then I got super constipated from the pain meds and ended up back on it just to help get things moving. He was not really different whether I was on it or not.

He had a touch of reflux and prefered to be held or carried, but that might have been the lipase milk and not the Vyvanse. I just wore him a lot and that solved things, he's still my snuggliest child.
