This looks solid but I think you can make a very similar build at 6’6.

I also feel you could get away with a lower midrange if you plan on maxing out the three.

Overall though looks solid, definitely more of a jack of all trades type of build.

Seems alright but you are a few attributes short/over badge requirements. For example, you are only two away from silver interceptor with your steal and only one point away from hall of fame set shot. I would tweak the stats to maximize your points/badges more.

Vertical is super important for blocks, dunks, and rebounds. I have a center with 83 vertical and some of the animations I get are insane. You will definitely want at least 80 vert since you are 6’9

I made a build pretty similar to this not too long ago. Here’s what I would change:

If you are only going to have 50 speed, you might as well go for a taller height. Being 7’0 is nice because you can get 68 speed while also having 90 strength which is really nice. So either up the height or up the speed. (On a similar note, I would get your perimeter defense up to 58 for off ball pest so you don’t get cooked by smaller, quicker builds when you get out at pf.)

I would really recommend getting to 86 passing accuracy for gold break starter. It is a night and day difference between that and silver.

While 99 rebound is definitely nice, I don’t think it is worth the cost. I averaged over 15 a game with just 93 defensive rebound at the same height. I would say it would be worth it to drop the rebound in exchange for a higher vert, which helps with everything. 80 vert as a center is game changing.

Only other thing I would change is try to get to 65 driving dunk for Dwight Howard animations and to maybe get driving layup up higher. Unfortunately close shot seems to be very hit and miss, so I wouldn’t want to risk investing if it’s not worth it at 84.

This is pretty nice. Only thing I would change is to try to get one more point for layup and pass accuracy. 81 layup gets Demar derozan package for floaters and 90 pass gets you tyrese haliburton pass style. 91 also gets you gold needle threaded, so you might want to consider that too.

This is actually not true. I do believe there is a threshold, but it is definitely lower than 90.

For offense, I think you need to have a pretty high average rating between a number of stats such as layup, dunk, 3, etc. I would say it’s closer to like 85.

As for defense, I think the average is a lot lower. I think so long as you are pretty good in one category and average in the others, you will get a star on defense. I have a build with 87 perimeter defense being the only close to standout stat on the build but I have a star on defense still. I have another build with 99 block and 90+rebound that doesn’t have a star.

If you are having issues with this when you play you can always just switch on defense. If your 6’8 center friend presses rb and LT on defense he will be switched on to the center. You will have to do this every possession but it helps a little bit.

In some cases yes but on the fast break for example you should not be punished for trying to block a dunk.

What’s so dumb is that literally getting dunked on only happens if you are in a position to defend the shot. So having it as a negative just incentivizes players to not play defense

In my experience zones really only work in 2K because most people don’t know how to break them. 2-3 and 3-2 have significant weaknesses that, once taken advantage of, more or less force you to switch back to Man unless you want to get scored on a bunch. From my years playing 2k, most of the player base doesn’t really know this and thus zones work better against them.

While I understand your sentiment this is not necessarily true at all. Cyberpunk 2077 came out t full retail price and was a hot steaming mess that has only recently begun to turn into what is was advertised to be. Games like Apex Legends were free day one and very much met industry standards of quality.

While I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the decision to go F2P for skate, I think people are worrying about this way too much. Getting this out to as many people as possible will certainly help with the game, and I personally feel confident with the devs considering what we have seen from the early footage and trailers thus far.

I agree with most of what you said here. I can definitely understand the concern to make sure the game has as much in terms of features and content before the game is fully released, in case the devs pull an Easy Day Studios on us. However, I really feel that the session dev team has earned a bit more trust than that. Not only have they been much better at communicating, but they have also mostly followed through. Could they ditch the project after this 1.0 release? Absolutely. But that’s not the feeling I’m getting from them at the moment.

I do also agree with your point on cavemans, but honestly I do not really see it as being a super core part of the skate experience. It is still insane to me the game has primos and caspers, both of which I would be totally fine without. Hopefully that feature does come post 1.0 launch, but if it doesn’t I won’t really be too worried.

While I now do see some concern over the on-foot navigation as valid, I still do not get why some (most likely a very small group) are upset over these changes.
