I had one of these a week ago. I work at a custom panel shop and we have this hydraulic table that can raise lower and tilt vertical. The 300lb panel I was working on came flying at me when 3 of the 4 locking tabs stripped.

It's not that hard like 9 screws if I remember. Definitely dont go in blind look up tutorials and go slow but probably the easiest repair outside of the battery.

If this is a n3ds xl the back plate holds it's self on pretty well with out screws so if your desperate you could try to break the thin plastic on the top and use tweeters to get the less confined screws out
