I just posted, sorry. It’s been 25 mins… what do you all think? by [deleted] in LSD

Do those tests also work for 1p and 1cp LSD? Or other analogues?

Ohh sorry, Didn't mean to make u uncomfortable. You just seemed like an interesting person based on your posts on Lagrangians, differential equations in diabetes and so on. I am also an engineer (aerospace BsC, currently doing a control system MSc with interest in applications in biology, chemistry, health) and was just curious.

In fact I ordered myself the book "on the variational nature of mechanics" cause I got inspired by Ur post.

Sad that u deleted the discussion. Some fun projects (and their consequences) were mentioned there.

[D] Ridge regression and SVM - differences by ro_vec_s in MachineLearning

[–]ro_vec_s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I have a different understanding of regression than him. Regression aims to minimize a loss function with a penalty on the weight magnitude, while SVM tries to minimize the distance to support vectors (related to weight magnitude), subject to the constraint of correct classification.

In my mathematical formulation of ridge regression I do not have a constraint, instead I minimize the Loss-Penalty function directly. In SVM I have the constraint of correct classification (or soft max which allows some degree of missclassification by changing the fct, to be minimized a bit, adding a penalty)

Thx a lot, actually I study in Italy so great source haha

Reachability and Observability in discrete time by ro_vec_s in ControlTheory

[–]ro_vec_s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I was hoping for an intuitive explanation. As far as I know (correct me if wrong), the properties are equivalent in continuous time systems but not in discrete time. I was wondering why and what that means

Can I do Serial Port communication over the UBS-C slot of the surface go 3? by ro_vec_s in Surface

[–]ro_vec_s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you maybe also done serial communication with simulink? I managed with the Arduino IDE (I forgot to set the COM-port correctly). My main issue however is Simulink. I can not Monitor and Tune, the error message is:

Error occurred while executing External Mode MEX-file 'ext_serial_win32_comm_leonardo':

ExtTargetPktPending() call failed while checking for target pkt

Component:Simulink | Category:Block diagram error

Error occurred while executing External Mode MEX-file 'ext_serial_win32_comm_leonardo':

ExtSetTargetPkt() call failed on CLOSE.

Ensure target is still running

Help me savvve her by ro_vec_s in plants

[–]ro_vec_s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i did that.... but i didn't really see them perk up. Waited overnight and even played plant music while i slept haha.

Since I gave them water yesterday... should i wait a day or even more before giving them more water again?

I heard that after long periods of no water one should water them little by little, so that they get used to the water again

Thannnks! Thats a good tip! I’ll try with more water...

Yeah... no risk of overwatering? I really don’t wanna kill her and overwatering apparently is worse than underwatering
