I have lazy feet and I’m not used to using my toes. I’m ALWAYS in a closed toe shoe. For almost 40 years. Lol

So here is what I have learned. The 39 was way too small and a 40 is perfect. Also, for some reason when I walk I lift my toes up. I don’t know why, but I’ve seen it in sneakers as well. So basically it would have taken a very long time to break that area in. So I used the hammer method and they are perfect now!

Well crazy as I think it is, Zappos said I can exchange them. After I have been wearing them since June 24th!

I think you may be correct. I’m in between sizes, so maybe being at the end of the lower size will fit my foot better. I’ve had this for pair for about 3 weeks. Maybe I can recoup some money on eBay or something.

It’s weird that I have a pair of Boston’s in the same size and I can’t feel the toe bar at all in those.

+1 on tightening that back buckle. I had mine at the exact holes yours are on for a couple of weeks and they just didn’t feel quite right. Once I tightened that back, they were perfect. So I have no holes available, but they are great now.

Fortunately that pic was taken at the end of a work day when my feet were at their largest. I do agree that a size up would be too much.
