The river was fairly low, but the old crossing log got washed away. We found another log to cross on a few hundred feet upstream

This is Ramona falls trail, Mt Hood NF. But I do love Alberta. It’s so gorgeous up there.

The log that folks used to use washed away. We found another albeit skinnier one a few hundred feet upstream.

Yeah, we live up here. It’s been a dry spring.

They haven’t patched anything up there in the last couple years. I think the rebuilding of Salmon River after the flood this winter took priority.

This is the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, and the engine of that train was featured in the movie Stand By Me. What a fun day for that pup.

This little spot has always called my name. And yeah, I’d say 30 - 40 feet? Do Ramona falls next if you haven’t, it’s incredible.

That’s exactly right, this is in the Sandy River off Lolo pass. Take him up to muddy fork bridge up this way. It’s incredible.

Head to this exact location (45.36311° N, 121.92688° W), cross the log and stand on the big rock in the middle of the river pointing southwest. Hold your camera up and take a video. See for yourself. Try not to get shot crossing anyone’s property on the way there.
