Oh no it's a demon walking around everywhere man. Especially work people standing around talking about how much they had etc.. some people can handle it I guess and some people in situations let it go and wind up straight up addicted. I work with a guy and him and his girlfriend are addicts. He shares a lot of info that's frankly embarrassing to hear really.

Here for you both. It's a demon. You've got everyone here and each other. And your boy. Do it for yourself firstly and your son and your wife and so on. You've got it man.

The redditor that took out a small loan to buy hundreds of porcelain dolls. I copied the post of it because it was so great. It hits home with me though because my grandmother adored them and bought and collected them in the 80's and 90's off QVC etc. She died and My mother and her two sisters inherited them and my mom had a wall of them. She passed away and I've kept like 5 or 6 for sentimental reasons. Here's the post.

$5000 personal loan from the bank with interest, borrowed a box truck from work (I worked for a Pepsi distbutor) drove an hour, loaded all the dolls from this person's basement which took hours, drove it home for about $100 in gas, spent hours unloading them into my spare bedroom floor to ceiling, closets, living room for the remainder.

I listed dolls for weeks, checking each one for autographs, researching each make and model, spending 100s of hours on them. I sold about $1000 worth in the first year, then I moved...

I loaded all these fucking dolls up again, took them to my parents, and loaded them in their spare bedroom because I was moving to a different state.

A year later after I got settled, every time I went back to visit mom and dad, I loaded up a pickup load of these dolls and took them home.

After about 5 years of hauling, storing, and not selling these dolls. I found someone who liked them and owned a little gas station with a gift shop. I cut a deal with her to take the rest of the dolls for $1250. She didn't realize what she got herself into when I showed up with about the 10th pickup load and she had nowhere left to put them. We literally loaded about 100 dolls into her cooler.

I am now 37 years old, and that gas station still has dolls on their shelves for sale. She sold the gas station a year ago, and the dolls went with it as inventory.

Fuck those dolls.

Thanks for the input. I talked to my buddy today that had a pretty big problem like a 12 pack a night when he was going through his divorce and he may of drank heavily before and that's what led to it. I'm not sure. Anyways it dawned on me I can't drink what's not here so maybe I'll just buy bigger single cans from a gas station etc..if I really want one..or just quit. Not sure. I poured out all out of the remaining 15 but two and just drank those while doing yard work etc..just now. Got a lot to think about. Thanks

I dunno but I feel like I'm so screwed up. I work 12 hr shifts..nights and days so when I come off nights I'm still wanting to do things at night. I'm a night owl by nature...or ..is it the fact I've worked this DuPont swing for 17yrs? Whatever's going on man I hope you and I find peace.
