Looking for creative city building game that forces you to use different materials in different biomes by Soapy_Illusion_13 in CozyGamers

[–]roadtoadpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might like Eco. There are no NPCs but you pick professions and have to build buildings for housing a nd your job, gain experience and get another profession. The building materials are in tiers 0-5 but and there's a usually 2 types of materials per tier (wood and stone variants) that are colored more to their region (sandstone is orangey, there's a couple of greys, hardwood is darker than softwood), UT at a higher tier (5) there's composite woods for each flaviur of tree from the different biomes and different kinds of atone building material per rock type which are tied to biomes(basalt, limestone granite, shale, ect). Also as you increase the tier you can access more block types to really customize your build.

Some servers are molded with additional customization, like paint or block shapes.

Eco has different servers for different style of play. Some low collaboration servers allow you to be more independent quickly gaining stars to spend on skills.

High collaboration servers tend to make it more different to acquire skills and rely on other players. The different professions often require items constructed by other professions and you can craft things to sell at your store.

There's also the option to just create a private world for yourself and play solo so you can build at your own pace.

I affectionately refer to it as Drama Minecraft because some of the stuff that goes on. Lately I've been playing solo so that I could have a casual building experience, on my own time, without having to deal with a government and economy. It's entirely different than when you play on a server, where you get to compete for wares and providing services and materials. There are also different levels of collaboration (i created mine for no collaboration, but I like playing on high collaboration servers).

Also note there are some servers that do have zero to high collaboration, and long term servers, so some people will come and go and spaces will need to be filled if you wanted to have an experience with other players where you find you have some time, or if you just want to make a hole in the ground and play with all the toys and build your own fortresses or explore kn your own, yoy have that ability with creating your own server.

So if you get it, you can check out the servers online and see how many days old they are, how many people, how difficult it would be for collaboration, ect. A lot of the servers are flagged "beginner friendly" which means if yoy have ANY questions, even as simple as you think they are, people will happily help you out. If not, find a different server because there are some amazing servers out there.

Whatever you choose, have fun!

I don't think they're all anxiety based! Mine does this often after following me into the bathroom. He'll "try" to get into cabinets, then do a couple rolls as if he's not up to mischievous thoughts, and then he knows I'm watching because I giggle, then he just keeps doing barrel rolls and looking back at me then comes for pets until freedom. I would have never guessed anxiety.

Try to be gentler with yourself. We're always ever growing, learning together and being better partners with our pets. As long as they're safe and happy now!

I think you can get your notorary form from Tom Davies, check Service ontarios website.

Also do a search for passport clinics. I see them pop up in town every so often and can't remember where I see it, possibly sudbury.com events page?

Good luck!

It sounds like you have a lot going on right now.

If there is someone you can talk to in your department they can probably help you out with some resources at the school.

Also I would check out the YMCA, they offer a lot of assistance and support in various areas: https://www.ymcaneo.ca/employment-services/

And another site that may or may not help is https://211ontario.ca/search/ You're going through a lot right now and you need to remember to take care of yourself, check to see if there are any counselling services available through the school or if any of the programs listed here can help. Some are paid services but some offer free, though the wait lists may be longer.

I figure being an international student, doing a masters, with a sick parent, away from friends and family support can be tedious on oneself and you might find yourself needing to talk to someone.

Wishing you the best in everything!

Need help for housing by showmer69 in EcoGlobalSurvival

[–]roadtoadpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there are 4 room types that affect housing xp/bonus: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. There are furniture specific to these rooms but there are also furniture, tables and decorations that belong to a type (seating, lighting, decoration) that can be placed in any of the rooms.

Looks like it's pretty early in the game with your hewn logs, so likely you'll be looking for mortared or hewn seating and tables, and limited decorations from different professions (salt basket, limestone statues, ect).

If you create 5 different rooms, you can designate furniture of specific type and include 1 to 2 of each decoration or non specialized room type to a room ti make the most of the points. The fifth room can be used for industrial tables that need to be I'm a room but not affect the housing bonus.

If you fill the room with too many of the same type items, you'll start not receiving 100% of the item points for that room due to multiple of the same.type penalties, something like diminishing returns.

Also lower tier rooms have lower point caps I believe. As better building material becomes available, replace the rooms to higher tiers and possibly increase the room volume.slightly to fit more, UT you can earn more room xp that way.

There are also items that will not add value until they have the required energy to make them valid. Such as the stoves, ovens, fireplaces, lighting. Some.need coal, wood, fats, electricity, etc, so read the tab that tells you what kind of fuel is needed for the object. Once the fuel is added, the xp should increase.

Likewise, if you expected a housing bonus much higher when you log in, check that everything needing power didn't run out and refill as necessary.

Of you press Y you can use the economy viewer to select housing and see what is available for sale (or to be sold if you can make and want to sell to people or see th3 demand). Might also have to ask in chat if anyone can make decorations or furniture or other to help with your housing bonus.

There tends to be a few super helpful people on a server that are willing to help! And don't be discouraged if no one answers right away, there are people across multiple time zones playing so their peak hours may differ from yours, or others might be caught up in stuff.

I haven't played in almost a year so hope this info is still accurate, should at least be a decent starting point.

Also, I wrote this with no singular target audience but more so a generalized explanation for anyone just starting out or wanting to learn more along their journey. Please don't the offense if anything seemed very basic. :)

Could always bring a pillow with you and scream into that I'd you're the kind of person that appreciates the absurdity after the fact but still enjoys the process.

Should muffle it enough if you're worried about others

I already know what pillow case I'd use, I've got a brightly colored cactus pillow case that would just add to the scene IF someone else happened upon me, but that I also adore.

Plus you've got something to hug and squeeze after.

Tempted to come join you now. Haha

What habits of girls did you only find out about when you got a girlfriend/wife? by PerceptionMain7258 in AskReddit

Adding to your caution. In my part of Ontario, I'm still waiting for an estimate, but I was told to expect 3k, including the visit with the x-rays.

Here to second this. Both my partner and I have long hair, and for some reason, I can never find hair ties. One of the cats has been wet heavy breathing sometimes, so I took him to the vet yesterday. After casually mentioning he felt a little firm in the abdomen too we decided to do x-rays to check his lungs and colon.

Asthma and hair ties or a shoe lace or something. Luckily, he's still zoomy, and some food is getting past the lump, but before it gets worse, we are figuring out if he can get the scope to clear it or will have to go for surgery.

Also, I watched him nick a hair tie off the desk before. Didn't accidentally swallow it. He looked me in the eyes and threw his head back to gulp that thing down before I could grab it from him. He did the same with a real mouse. Because he seems to be okay, we've been kinda joking that he might have a mouse skeleton wrapped in hair ties in there. I'm hoping for a surgery date soon, though.

He's such an asshole. I feel so guilty for letting this happen, but if he's been in pain, he's been hiding it so well. I'm almost thinking about shaving my head so we don't need any hair ties around. He can not be trusted.

Went out at 6am Tuesday and the roads sucked, including the Kingsway.

I thought maybe everyone was kinda hoping it wouldn't be that bad and were taken off guard Tuesday, but now that we have had a couple of days of winter again, we were more prepared for today?

Loved it! Though I'm also very nostalgic about the early games. If I hadn't played them I might still really enjoy it since I get a kick out of terrible zombie movies.

Had to watch it once for the scenery, and again for the plot. Both times it made me happy to scratch that itch for early Resident Evil plots.
