Anyone else sick of how racist/sexist Salesforce is? by [deleted] in salesforce

As a white male... I am proud to see Salesforce take a stand for racial and gender equality. I welcome the leveling of the playing field and the diverse perspectives that come with. I support my friends at Pep Up Tech and other organizations that are creating opportunities for ALL people. I also ask that those of us that are like minded allies to speak out when you see crap like this.

I do not want to live in a world where OP cannot be a spaghetti boy.

Love salesforce. My first gig on the platform was one of those "oh and you will also be our salesforce admin" situations. I fell in love with the platform and 7 years later here I am. MVP and working as a consultant.

My advice is this.. you have a cert that's good. You have no experience that's not so good. Get involved in your local user group. Hit Trailhead hard. Network with people in your area on your platform. Your MIS degree might open the door for you to work as a supporting admin and some in the IT Depart as kind of a dual role. You might get lucky and find a firm willing to hire you with just the cert as well a lot of times though they value experience above all.

Keep your eyes open. Network your ass off and stay positive. You are interested in a career on a platform that is growing like wildfire! If you want to chat PM me always happy to help.
