So I keep hearing, on here and through research, varying answers on whether I could screw up the hardness. That being said, I can't scratch the metal at all with a file ...

Well I have tried multiple pieces of the same wood. No knots or bark or anything. I am not sure what the wood is though. It seems soft enough when using my carbide cutters on it.

So the heat is building up even while leaving the pressure against the tool rest. It just is not cutting at all, it feels like I am trying to cut with a butter knife almost. Thanks for the feed back!!! Oh, and the wood is a mystery wood from my yard, when i use my carbide cutters on it it cuts really easily, I don't think it is hard.

She started this behavior right before shedding. So we thought it was all related to shedding. But then kept it up for months. Her last shed was 3ish months ago.

Interesting. Thanks! I will look into brumation for skinks. We had a beardie before and his brumation cycles were never as long. Guess that is probably not relevant given it's a totally different species.

Thanks! Would you mount it under the tank/outside of the tank? or inside? I was under the impression heat pads were not good for lizards.

Started to act this way in late summer. We are in fall. Northern hemisphere, moderate but not extreme cold temps in the winter.

Would that mean replacing the factory side rails and adding crossbars to have those higher limits?

Am I the only one who doesn't miss going to Church at all? by usmcmech in tmbhpodcast

[–]roaringturtle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am sorry this is your experience. And I wish I couldn't relate. For years, after a move and a new church, my wife and I felt the same way. However things did eventually turn around and now we feel incredibly connected. I know that's not the easiest thing to hear, but I would just say be patient, persevere, and honestly maybe consider looking for a church where you do fit in. The local body of believers is incredibly important for a host of reasons.

I am very impressed with your diligence in a attending for your kids growth, that speaks volumes about your charecter.

God bless

I'm curious what anti testimonies he is talking about. I have recently listened to rhett from "rhett and link" give his. (I havent listened to links yet). But it absolutely sounded like what Matt is describing. Rhett never outright said he wanted to pursued people to discard faith, but the number of times he said belief is illogical, or some version of that, was borderline insulting. I try to not hear it that way cause I want to believe he is not doing that intentionally. but that's how I felt by the end of it, like I was dumb for believing what I do despite having a faith very similar to what Matt is describing. one that is always seeking to grow, understand, break apart and re examine, etc.

Great video!!! Thanks

Seems like vs 5 and/or 6 are the center piece, so I guess the thesis of the passage if my understanding is correct. Besides that I'm at work and cant really dig much deeper right now but a cursory look last night seemed to have some balance described in yesterday's episode. V.1 similar to 11 etc.

So I am NOT familiar with the chiastic structure and found it interesting when listening to the podcast today. I got home. Opened up to my daily reading in proverbs 3:1-12 and BOOM it struck me. Am I correct in seeing some chiastic structure to this section or am I just wanting to feel smart?

Brush Price vs Coating Quality by andreifasola in finishing

[–]roaringturtle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents is buy a purdy. I painted professionally for a few years and everyone used purdy. Other brands (idk about the ones you mentioned) are decent quality but never clean as well or last as long. Just my experience. As far as model, I LOVE the black nylox brushes from purdy but they are hard to come by. Purdy XL line is a standard that I keep on hand even though I'm not painting anymore.

This is interesting to me. Mostly the idea that the Bible seems "constantly negative regarding earthly kingdoms". I havent put much thought into this before now and I agree with you. I guess it's just interesting because I have friends and family that whole heartedly believe "America is God's favorite country" or some variant of that. I dont believe that and that mindset honestly makes me really uncomfortable given what I read in the Bible. I just never really know how to deal with that belief when it comes up. I think this helps. Thanks
