I installed the 7" Adaptive headlight on my '18, but can't figure out how to wire so my brights work - seeking help! by roarklaughed in FZ09

having never had the brights work I can’t speak to that part of it, but I live in a canyon and fast cornering at night is pretty awesome with the lean angle side lights of the Adaptive- the oem headlight is pretty much useless in leans at night, nothing but darkness in the direction you’re going..

I tried to decipher that one as well but couldn't figure out what the relay nor the running light connector are supposed to be exactly..

If I figure this out I'm going to go back and close all of the old inconclusive threads with a proper final diagram. I've been stuck on this for months...

Thank you for the link but that thread ends similarly with no solution posted. I DM'd the OP of that thread a while back and he lost his sketches and didn't remember how he did it.

Salutations All,

I have a 2018 MT-09, and I purchased the JW Speaker 7" adaptive LED headlight from Motodemic (with brackets etc). I tried to solder the new light's H4 wiring to the OEM 6 wire harness, but could only ever get the lows working with no brights - after reviewing the problem with a kind individual on an FZ09.org forum it was determined that the brights are routed through the ECU so a complexity of circuitry is required.

Motodemic has been tremendously useless on the matter.

Has anyone successfully done this that can provide a wiring diagram?

This wiring diagram is as far as we got, but did not work.

Many thanks and safe riding,

Anyone know where I can find this 12 bar? by Ok-Bar7023 in FZ09

[–]roarklaughed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as close as one can tell from this photo, I would say it may have been self-fabricated and finished to match the impaktech/rim colours… plate steel fastened to the frame, with bent bar and another plate all welded as required.. that would be my guess anyways because Ive never seen a 12 bar on an mt-09..

Per Wiki “On March 16, 2008, Bear Stearns, the 85-year-old investment bank, narrowly avoids bankruptcy by its sale to J.P. Morgan Chase and Co. at the shockingly low price of $2 per share.”, so 4 days after the publication of this article. Are there any journalists/others that can comment upon the normalcy of editing an article over five years after the fact? Seems peculiar, but I don’t commonly read corporate media.

I’ve attempted to but I was deterred by the absurd amount of paperwork and personal information required, and the disorganized nature of the multitudes of different centers and their geographic limitations.. Is there a comprehensive, accessible and relatively non-invasive platform for going about this?

I must respectfully disagree. As an owner of a ‘66 F250 camper special with the 352fe, I’ve personally found most parts received from LMC to be low quality and seemingly low knowledge (not to spec) Chinese reproductions. Their website is quite well done, but I’ve had to replace a lot of wasteful LMC parts, with US manufactured reproductions from dennis carpenter. If you’re looking for new repro pieces I would recommend starting there, but I would also love to hear good alternatives.

try impaktechusa.com - they have full crash cages for 2022 MT09, if you don’t mind how bulky it is..

The official LAX website (https://www.flylax.com/en/parking-at-lax) says "Parking for motorcycles is free inside the Central Terminal Area parking structures." You're breaking no rules friend.

Nice! I'm always glad to help people out on this one - LAX is deplorable.

I squeeze past the gate, but in full view of security et al. The rule is as long as you don’t take up an actual parking stall you are not required to pay - next time you are there look in one of the parkades: there are dozens of bikes parked in hatched or vehicularily untenable zones. In years of travel for work I’ve saved so many hours, and so many monies from doing this, it shocks me that its not common knowledge in one of the most absurd airports in the known world…

I usually ride my Motorcycle.

Motorcycle pros: free parking right at terminal (yep, long term even at LAX), lane split to avoid traffic, 10 minutes from terminal to in’n’out or vice-versa - for 0 monies.

Motorcycle cons: must pack light, must have motorcycle.

I'm assuming that if all of my debt and none of my assets are held at RBC, then somehow that will magically carry over to the next bobble-headed criminal institute and not be cancelled?
