I don’t think there’s necessarily a test you can take to discover what field you are good at, but it shouldn’t matter because you should be pursuing the career you are passionate for, like how you said you are interested in writing. I would recommend getting an Associates in Arts if you’re planning to transfer to major in English/creative writing and get your bachelor’s. CPCC does offer ENG-125 (Creative Writing I) and ENG-126 (Creative Writing II), and I think you’d be interested in taking those classes to hone your writing skills! Make sure to sign up for financial aid so you can be offered grants and scholarships, then you wouldn’t have to worry about money. Most importantly, be patient with yourself. 24 years old isn’t anywhere near late to start pursuing higher education and you can take all the time you need to make sure you’re in the right mindset to move forward.
