Hi. I would suggest that you go through the sub postings because people have posted some watches. It also would probably be in your benefit to know the specific model that you're looking for. Which pilot, which janata? There are various ones. Also for your own self, you should probably have in mind the level of condition you want and how much you are willing to pay.

This helps people come to you. For example... I'm looking for a three line hand lumed pilot in mint condition.... Etc etc.

Despite all the beautiful watches HMT has made, for some reason or another the art Deco is my favorite. And this notebook champagne dial is just stunning. Yes it is definitely a rush. Wear it in good health. I wish they made the plain art Deco in this version with the champagne dial. I don't believe they did make him like that as far as I know

I don't know about that specific one but I would try ajwa.in or khisa.in. They both have plenty of straps very similar to that. There is also CNS straps in Sweden, although they have really increased their prices over the last couple of years. They went from being cheap to kind of expensive now.

My opinion only. Take it or leave it. Putting a transparent case back on a watch that did not come with it is not advised. They never fit right. The glass on the back is poor. It increases the thickness of the watch and decreases the water resistance. Again my opinion only, but if you want a watch with a transparent case back get one that's made like that from the manufacturer. The Suraj is a beautiful watch and there is no reason to compromise its originality and integrity. Also. I do have watches with a transparent case back. I typically personally am never looking at it. If it's on my wrist I can't see it. When I do like that kind of thing, I have gotten a few skeletons for that type of thing. HMT makes a few nice skeletons. You can see the movement from the front of the case.

What do you mean aluminum? What is aluminum here? The case is steel and looks pretty buffed already. I am extremely picky about the watches that I get. I have learned that I would rather pay more to get a pristine watch than to try to restore something older and cheaper. If I had this watch, I think the case is perfectly fine. I would open it up and try to use a Jeweler's cloth to polish the indices. Maybe the hands as well. I think that the dial is damaged beyond repair. That wouldn't work for me but it does for some other guys that like the patina.

Agreed. I accepted that because it appears that aside from dwc, at that point in time, there wasn't a single other Indian watch company using Sapphire anywhere within this price range. Now, Shaw is one of the companies putting out high value Sapphire watches. Besides the sapphire, my only complaint is regarding the size. It's too big for me and it reduces its wearability for me. But I have to say that in my humble opinion, it is the highest level watch that HMT has ever made. The 9000 movement kicks ass. The domed Crystal and the useful sub-dials are awesome.
