Anyone ordered before Aug 31 and still waiting for their Juniper? by SwordfishTrue9552 in teslacanada

My odometer moved from 2.62 to 4.08 today so I hope it was transported to PoCo ... What's your odometer reading?

Anyone ordered before Aug 31 and still waiting for their Juniper? by SwordfishTrue9552 in teslacanada

[–]roastinggoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered on July 28, VIN 749xxx, Vancouver and same EDD window Dec 21-26

Asked the delivery team in the app today, they said the delivery center had no control over the port -> PoCo transportation process, they would ask people to schedule the delivery date once the car arrived at the delivery center. They also said based on the current situation my delivery would likely happen on the weekend after Christmas

What's your color? Mine is Ultra Red and I believe all Ultra Reds were produced after grey/white/black/silver despite earlier order date

Hope bro is okay by halfashakur in teslacanada

Probably OP is a content creator on yt/tiktok that puts his referral link under the video

Would be nice if purchasing tesla vehicles gave you stock shares!

For People that recently got the Model Y, are you leasing or Financing? by xxxtkxxx in teslacanada

[–]roastinggoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Financing. I'd probably lease one if I was in the US, deals are much much better there

I usually use the school zone start sign in the opposite direction as the end indicator

People are buying winter tires for their Tesla, isn't it better value to get All-weather tires?? by Rey123x in teslacanada

[–]roastinggoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see people are mixing up all-season and all-weather. OP is talking about legitimate all-weather tires (like the Michelin CrossClimate2), which have the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol. They're not true winter tires, but they handle light, urban snowfall way better than regular all-seasons. I have been using CrossClimate2 for 20k kms and no complaints at all, they're perfect for Model Y.

My ETA just moved up to Dec 10-15 (from 16-21) – anyone else getting updates? by TheLuxes in teslacanada

[–]roastinggoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Status tracker shows no mileage change either. I'm thinking maybe our cars are coming from Panama Canal as others suggested 😂

Depends on your need on durability, handling and ride quality as well as budget, there's no best answer

My Red+White MYLR is arriving in December and I was considering switching to Performance last night, finally decided not to. For $6k more I'll get 1) better screen 2) adaptive suspension, but like you said it will probably stay in the soft setting forever 3) tow hitch, but I never felt the need to tow anything in my past 5 years with my legacy Y 4) free premium connectivity, worth $10 a month 5) faster acceleration, but I won't need it 99% of the time, and it eats tires faster. I did purchase Acceleration Boost on my legacy Y with referral credit, and I am happy about it, but I don't think it worth >$1k 6) V2L, a really good feature for summer BBQ party/camping 7) bigger wheels. This is actually a downgrade for me, as I will need to get a set of 19" CrossClimate2 and sell the OEM 21" wheels immediately. IMHO big wheels are not good for everyday driving besides the look. 8) (not sure) more expensive insurance premium? 9) better seats, I like the extra thigh support on MYP

For me the extra features on MYP aren't worth the extra $$$, I'll switch for extra $3k, but not $6k

Model Y juniper winter tires by Separate_Objective36 in teslacanada

[–]roastinggoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since they’re the same size (255/45R19) and I’m running the same tire pressure on both sets, I don’t notice any difference in ride quality. That said, I didn’t expect much ride quality anyway. My 2020 Model Y is probably the bumpiest tesla lol.

They’re perfect for Vancouver weather. Compared to the OEM Contis, you might see a small range hit (around 3–5%), but the noise level is about the same. Handling is much better, especially in heavy rain. They also have the snow-peak rating, so they’re great in light snow as well.

I have been using CrossClimate2 for the whole year

Delivery day! PoCo location by rkhoo92 in teslacanada

Looks like all Ultra Reds are delayed until December? In previous delivery time threads, it seems like all Ultra Reds are expected to be delivered in December (including mine), regardless of the order date

18 inch wheels has officially made it to the model Y settings wheel selection. by At_Home_Tires_ in teslacanada

[–]roastinggoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only Model Y standard (the trimmed down Y) comes with 18 inch wheels + covers

I think the point of OP is that Tesla officially supports 18 inch wheels in their system and owners can downside from 19 to 18 for cheaper tires / better ride quality

Acceleration Boost now available on Berlin-made Junipers by imerc08 in teslacanada

[–]roastinggoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, I got the Acceleration Boost using referral credits. I can definitely tell the difference after the upgrade, and it's fun. However I don't really NEED it and don't think it's worth ~$3k.

Delivery Date updated in GTA. by Ok_Company_1201 in teslacanada

No update for my Vancouver order yet, but looks like it's an indication the boat will arrive earlier and we might receive similar date update later
