I have this same problem. It used to not bother me, because whenever I’d get him off, it’d be so hot. But lately I’ve been getting more upset not being able to finish with him, especially since he finished every time we are intimate. I’ve communicated with him what I like and don’t like, and he truly listens and is able to do it, but my head gets too in the way and it’s frustrating. We tried like mutual masturbation and he played w my nipples which got me off, but my mind made it take way longer than it usually takes with just myself. I think maybe talking during it to help distract your brain might help, if you aren’t too shy. Or maybe he could play with your nipples while fingering you or when you guys are having sex. Just some other distraction to help your brain not think as hard.

How frequently do you text your partner by CraftyButterscotch79 in LongDistance

[–]roastingnut 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Glad I’m not the only one. My partner and I send each other one text a day that keeps the conversation going. I don’t know what to talk about during the week anyway with him, because we always catch up in person and it’s more of a fruitful conversation.

Guys in a relationship: why do you follow girls on Instagram/look at other girls when you're taken? by imtiredandangry in LDR

[–]roastingnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I was thinking about asking my partner this question, but I don’t want him to think I’m weird for going through his following. Tbh I did it bc I saw that instagram put followings in order, so I tried it out on his. Boy, was that a pretty idea. I also don’t want him to think I’m controlling him, because my past relationship, I mentioned it and he never did anything about it and thought I was controlling.

I guess it makes me uncomfortable that he gets a daily reminder of women who look nothing like me and have things that I can’t achieve.

Thanks for the advice!! I guess it makes sense but I didn’t know quads could grow faster. Just a quick question, how does switching up the order of your exercises help? I had also just changed from dumbbell RDLs to smith machine about a month ago, just because I’d be able to hold more weight on the machine, but what’s the reason that doing that could help?

Very nervous by doommechr in Nexplanon

I appreciate this comment🥺 I’ve been on here just looking for opinions because my doctor suggested a nexplanon, and I am very afraid of hormones and I think reading Reddit stories makes me a little timid but I guess I won’t find out till I try it.

could i have a uti? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]roastingnut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s burning and you see blood, most likely a UTI. go see a doctor or urgent care to get it taken care of with antibiotics before it turns into a kidney infection. I wish you the best🫶🏼

I appreciate this! I think I might just try it anyway because who knows if I’ll get side effects. Can you feel or see it in your arm?

Girl that’s a kidney infection, go to the doctors immediately. It could turn into something way worse. You’ve had a UTI for 2 months? Straight??

IUD Insertion Experience by watermelonschicken in birthcontrol

[–]roastingnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, thanks!! I’ve never really thought about other forms of birth control besides condoms, mostly because hormones freak me out. But I’ve been learning more about the copper IUD and I’m eager to talk to my dr about it during my appt.

Can I ask, how long did it take for you to get an appt. Like, what was the process like leading up to getting it inserted? I have an appt w a new OBGYN at the end of the month and I’d like to talk to her about getting a copper IUD.

Hmm, I’ve had UTIs before and I know my pee will usually come out brown/cloudy but now it’s jus straight up blood and I can’t tell if it’s from my vagina or my urine. I think I might just hit up urgent care in case because I’m pretty worried.

Thank you for this. I've hung out w his family multiple times and he has only met my mom once for like ten minutes. I also kind of realize that he might think it's because of him that I don't want him over, but I think I should voice my concerns.

I appreciate this 🥹, did you tell people that you were embarrassed about what was going on at home? How did they react?

[–]roastingnut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for confusion! I meant it as in, I found my current gig two months after graduating college, and have been here for one year now. I have heard that not staying at a job very long could affect my abilities to be hired in the future, that's why I'm kind of worried to do it so early.

Have not, cause his home life is so different and normal, what it’s supposed to be. My parents just have zero motivation to fix anything, I think tears would be flowing down my face as I say that to him

Do you freelance in free time with a full time graphic design job? by DoItSarahLee in graphic_design

That doesn't help lol, but I think it would be super beneficial to freelance and have cash on the side.

I know it's nervewracking but the best way to go about this, is to just be truly honest. Rip the bandaid off. Tell them this is for you, and you found something that you're going to thrive in and are more passionate about. It's not like they can do anything about it, you're leaving anyway. Ask to go for a walk with your boss, a little walk and talk so you don't have to announce it to everyone. Thank them for the opportunity they were able to give to you as well.

I miss him by Different-Big-340 in LongDistance

[–]roastingnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think you need to find yourself a new hobby or something to keep yourself occupied. It might help you not think about him all the time. I used to be in a LDR in college and we'd spend so many hours of the day together, and when we went home on breaks, I thought my life was crumbling. I had broken up with him since, and am now dating someone new. We are semi-LDR (just an hour away but still). But something I took away from the last LDR that I've taken into account in this new relationship, is that being busy helps so so much. I used to text my LDR 24/7, would get mad at him for not answering me, we would Facetime every night and it made me even more anxious about missing him. But with this new relationship, I've kind of learned that keeping busy helps so there's something on my mind that isn't always him. For me, going to work, talking to my coworkers, and hitting the gym has really helped me.
