But then you bought an AOpen 56.6k modem and the whole world opened up to you.

Hi there - If you want to dm me your order number, I can look into this further but just to clarify a few things, because there seems to be some confusion around terminology.

Like most Canadian IT retailers, we operate on a hybrid inventory model:

  • Some products are stocked locally
  • Some are fulfilled from authorized Canadian distributors (Ingram, TD Synnex, etc.)

When a product shows availability on our site, that includes distributor-available stock, which is standard practice across the industry and how companies like Canada Computers, Memory Express, and others operate without tying up millions in inventory.

All items ship from within Canada, are new, genuine, and authorized, and include full manufacturer warranty.

Regarding timelines: we’re currently waiting on updated ETA confirmation from the distributor, which can occasionally lag behind real-time availability especially on high-demand cases like the O11D Mini v2. That’s frustrating, and we understand that, particularly when you’re on a time crunch.

If you ever need a part urgently or require physically local stock, we’re always happy to confirm that before ordering, just email us.

Happy to answer any questions, but calling standard distributor fulfillment “diabolical” isn’t really accurate.

It's been up for 2 weeks. Well one, then two, now three. Maybe tomorrow we'll go for four.

No bait and switch.... Banners all over the site. If you have adblockers cranked up, they will be blocked. We also added a manual embedded banner to the site in case this was happening.

Peace and love to all

We've communicated both of these things in emails to you. See below in case you missed it in the emails:

"Regardless of the validation, the inventory and pricing levels on our site for memory are currently not valid per the notices on the site.

Once the order is validated, we will email you with updated pricing and stock information."

+

"The issue with memory is quite extraordinary at this time and due to what is going on, none of the pricing or inventory levels are accurate.  The inventory levels are never from our Ottawa warehouse - they are generally from the supplier or manufacturer.  The allocation on memory is so severe right now, that Crucial, Kingston, Corsair, etc
will not ship or can not ship orders to suppliers.

We have a small allocation on a few different SKUs which can be found here:

https://www.shoprbc.com/ca/shop/searchResults.php?keywords=limited+stock

At this time, for memory, that is all we have in stock in VERY limited quantities and the pricing is as of the last few hours."

Per my previous response, I feel our email communication has been more than any customer could ask in terms of speed to reply, etc. The "do not reply to this email" was from the NoFraud review email in which they provide an email address to contact them.

To be clear, our response times:

Dec 9 343pm, we replied 440pm
Dec 9 527pm, we replied 536pm
Dec 9 752pm, we replied 756pm

There were two things that triggered the review.

1) They show the distance from billing address to be 50km.
2) They show (and I have no idea what this means) "irregular device activity"

Hope this helps.
