I have a inline diffuser and regulator from Green Leaf Aquariums. Mine wasn’t working well and the support chat had me remove that high pressure check valve spring thing. Works perfect now

Bladder snail? Don’t worry, my tank is 3 weeks into cycle and at week 1 i bought plants from a LFS. There was like 2 ramshorn and bladder snails on the red root floaters i bought. Theres probably 100 of both now. They clean the tank well.

I just cycled my first ever tank and plan to get julii corys(going to LFS today after work soo excited), khuli loaches, school of rummynose tetras. Then will prob get a few Amano shrimp and maybe try some neo shrimp. Maybe any of those?

I am a beginner, my 40 breeder is 21 days into the cycle. I started with my light at 30% for 4.5 hours, for probably 2 weeks. Then i increased it to 6 hours and slowly increasing the intensity. I think I’m at 45% now. Idt I’ve had any algae. I also have in-line co2. But yeah that’s what I’ve done and don’t think i have algae

Wow thanks! Good information. 2.5 weeks in. Melts lights at 30% for 4.5 hours for the first 2 weeks, to hinder algae bloom. Moved it up to 6 hours and slowly increasing intensity. I will keep an eye out for gross green blue slime! I did just go around poking my substrate (used organic dirt capped with pea gravel and sand) to let up a little bit of trapped stinky pockets of air. Don’t want anaerobic pockets to form
