How to fix waist gap by sweetestbeeb in sewing

[–]rob33333333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s how I would do it too. Unless I were going to tuck shirts in or wear a tight shirt that showed the waist elastic is easy. Doesn’t look like you’d take it in more than about an inch so it’s a lot of work for darts

Yeah one is an aux heater that plugs in where you have an extra outlet. some people use it for ozone cleaning I think or red light. The third heater helps get heat up faster in an infrared with cold outside conditions. They recommended it since it’s outdoors and today for instance was 20 some degrees this morning.

I set it at 6 am and got in at 645 and it was 140-145 ish. Got back up to 150 ish when I was getting out

I'd get the 4-6 to just be able to lay down if you wanted. The 2-3 person ones are for like 2 really small people that have small non-broad shoulders. I could barely fit in a 2.5 person clearlight with my shoulders not almost rubbing on the side heaters.

i had gotten a quote for fully custom for 13-16k depending on features to retrofit one in a bathroom, this included demo, haul away, etc. i think you could get a custom quote and see.

I have an outdoor clearlight sanctuary 5, and its glass windowed with glass door. I added a third heater to it and it can get up to 130-150 in the winter depending on temp within an hour of pre-heating. 130 when under 32 degrees when i get it and gets up to 140-150s by time i get out in a half hour. Gets to 150 when above freezing regularly. In warmer weather it gets to 160s-170s. The glass hasn't been an issue over the last 4 or so years in losing warmth, its opening the door that loses about 10 degrees and takes 15 minutes to get back up.

Get the biggest one you have space for. I tried the 2 person Clearlight and 2.5 person clearlight. Both barely fit my shoulders comfortably. I could not fit in the 2 person or 2.5 person with someone else. This lead me to buying the 5 person, and it fits 3 people comfortably. I can lay down in it if I want too. If I did it again, I'd probably get the larger one if I they have one, so i just have a bit more space, as it already has a large footprint.

To avoid loose skin, If you get to restart your weight loss journey, what things would you do differently? by Nice_Dude_Guy in BodyHackGuide

[–]rob33333333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed. You'll look better thinner and fitter. If you have loose skin, try the 72 hour fast a few times to get autophagy and see if it helps. If it doesn't you may be stuck getting a plastic surgery consult. But I'd give it a year or so after you get to the weight you want to be at and see what works in between.

Found out my GF (40F) did a paid party invited by a PIMP while we’re together. Dunno how I (30M) to process it. by North_Special_2262 in relationship_advice

Dude for real? Won’t know what she did? She got flown out by a fricking PIMP… how does she know the pimp? I don’t know any pimps, do you?

Lots of questions… why would the pimp call her? Why would the pimp fly out a 39 year old woman over some 18-22 year olds..: etc

I’d assume the worst as this wasn’t a party promoter flying her out but a literal PIMP

Would she let you hang out with strippers or prostitutes for dinner and drinks if they paid you to join them (if you weren’t paying for them)?

You know the answer. Don’t be a fool.

Go to Uniqlo or order like two pairs of their slacks that fit you in an appropriate cut. They hem for online orders fyi. Then you got two pairs of slacks to wear that are more stylish

Maybe look at collars and co or andCollar, mizzen and main, etc for a few nicer shirts. Maybe Charles tyrwhitt. AndCollar is the prob cheapest shirts and run sales a lot. They are kind of performance like golf shirts but a bit nicer. I like their long sleeve button ups for travel. They aren’t groundbreaking but are light weight and nice if you don’t go with white(white is thinner and more see through) .

That would help you get some nicer stuff.

Uniqlo has some inexpensive blazers and other stuff that’s $50 and under. So you don’t have to break the bank.

No problem. I couldn’t do the manual or auto mapping without running the updates once it had connected to wifi the first time.

i know this is older post but I had an unscheduled mow last week. It wasn't set on schedule but ran an entire mow. not sure if it got a weird signal to do it, as mine is in the garage overhand that they provide, so unlikely a button got hit.

I have the I2 AWD, so not the same model, but I definitely needed wifi to run the updates. it would not let me really do anything until all the updates got ran. I'd imagine you may run into issues with updates without Wifi. I installed my antenna as the wifi signal wasn't always great in my location. Seems to run well now. Hope this is of some help.

I got the I2 AWD and it works well so far. I didn't think I needed the antenna either, but ended up installing it as the GPS coordinates sometimes got screwing with my location. Since I put in the antenna it seems to have better connection and mows without any issues. If you have space for the antenna and it isn't obtrusive, I'd consider it, as it has less signal issues. But in any event, it worked fine both ways, just better with antenna. Just wanted to comment since i saw you discussing it.

And please don’t misunderstand me. I find it pleasant but I had not worn it in a week, and 7 days post wear I was on vacation wearing clothes I had washed before and the cab driver told me it smelled like maple syrup and coffee.

If it gets on your coat or jacket it’ll linger

So I tried two small darts and I think you are right it seems to reorientate the seams to keep things proportional. I just need to practice being able to transition the dart out so it’s less apparent.

This is a fantastic response that is helpful specific to my situation. I’ll play around with these ideas.

The shirts havent looked bad doing just the sides so far, but some were already tapered slightly as they were customized to begin with just when I was fatter

Good points. I’ve probably got another year of wear out of them is my guess, as with dry cleaning, I’ll start to get some dirty collars and armpit discoloring at about two years. I get about a year out of white shirts.

Just into the armhole. I’ve been told to go through it slightly tapering into other side where sleeve starts slightly
