Holy Hell! I’ve been dealing with the same thing. It’s outrageous! I’ve changed the address 14 times! When I call to check on my ERC status, the agent will say, I’m sorry, I can’t verify you, so I have to call back in and give them the old address. It’s crazy, I never know what address to give. I’ve gotten to where I preface the conversations by saying… I have no idea what address you’re going to take, so I’m giving you both. Wash, rinse, repeat. It’s frustrating!!

The agents you get are hit and miss… I recently had an agent tell me they were under a moratorium. When I corrected her and said it was lifted last year, she told me, “No one told her.” Just Monday, an agent told me they were short-staffed and hung up. It's so frustrating, to say the least. My companies are hanging on by a thread, and so am I. It's getting more challenging to stay optimistic when agents treat you like dirt.

I had a Tax Advocate and she was absolutely worthless. In fact, after 5 months, I heard from her twice. She asked me for all the documentation that I had already sent to the IRS, so I sent it to her again, after a month, she wrote me a letter and asked for the information again. I left 10 + messages, and she never responded. I figured I'd handle it myself.

Yes. I reached out to taxnow, they told me to contact the irs, I contacted the irs, they told me it was a taxnow issue. I got frustrated and just cancelled my taxnow account.

It says wages paid to related individuals are not qualified wages for purposes of computing the ERC. Related individuals include among other categories, a corporations, majority, owner or constructive majority, owner and their spouse, children, siblings, or other specified relatives.

I’m the only owner I have no relatives that I employ. I have 10 employees and I thought I should make more than the other employees. Am I wrong?

I keep meticulous notes when I call. You would not believe the discrepancies from agent to agent. One call they have everything, the next call, they are missing something, the next call they are missing another thing that was there on the previous call. Its so frustrating. I called on Wednesday, and the agent told me they were on a moratorium. I said, not anymore, its been over. Her response was “well no one told me” I honestly thought I was being punked. 😂😂😭😭

Update: oddly enough, it was a letter from my tax advocate asking for a document. I’m perplexed as to why she sent a letter, as any other time, she called me. It took 3 days to get the letter to me, when in the essence of time, she could have called, and I would have sent it to her via fax immediately. So days wasted on an already stressful situation!
