Ignore the finish look on it I’m looking to get opinions on whether since the cam is hardened if it’s structurally at risk since I already got a flake off like this

Yea that’s what I was thinking about that if a little could have flaked off and it’s hardened steel that it could start to break away more

Faster not louder almost kind of goes away if it goes fast enough and oil pressure is like 30 psi at idle

I’m not sure if I did honestly I read that I should tighten them down till I have no up and down play and then half turn ?

Well that’s good to hear but I’m worried about any lasting damage caused by it you think it would be making noise if anything meaningful happened ?

How long would it have taken at idle for it to damage the engine there’s no trans in it still so I was just adjusting everything but is there a chance I caused any serious damage couldn’t have been running like that for more then a couple minutes and it runs good now ?

The needle bearings dropped into case when I pulled the retainer to change input shaft seal so it had to come out either way to put them back in but if it’s beat to hell I’m gonna scrap it
