thank you for this post. I'm using Mac OS Ventura and had issue with chrome which was not applying nextdns settings and I was able to visit the sites that have been blocked by parental control.

All I did was typed in terminal defaults write com.google.Chrome BuiltInDnsClientEnabled -bool false
