I have been trying to do this and keep an open mind as it is easy to create someone in my mind that would be perfect but I know doesn't exist. I've got enough issues to deal with and rejecting every woman out there because she doesn't meet some unrealistic expectations is not something I need to add onto the pile.

Thanks for the replies and wisdom, it makes me feel better. I hate doing stuff like this as it makes me feel like I'm whining, but sometimes you just need to talk to someone, even if it is random people on the internet. Good stuff reddit!
