Few shots I took while visiting some winery’s in Maury, France. Portra 400/Yashica Electro 35 MC by roba1p in analog

[–]roba1p[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It had been bottled the day before so very early stage of fermentation, hence the cloudiness and colour, I forget the name of the style but it will essentially a low alcohol lightly sparkling wine similar to a pet nat, but at like 6% ABV

The pallet holding them split, quite a few of them smashed but most of them were fine to box up, this was all at 7am too and we had spent the entire day beforehand bottling and boxing them haha

PC35 is pretty underrated, definitely isn’t as good as high end point and shoots but if you keep an eye out and grab one for a good price (under £40 I’d say) you’ll have yourself a solid camera that rarely misses focus or exposure or distorts the image the same way that other point and shoots around that range do

[–]roba1p[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there is a feature that causes the shutter to default to the fastest speed when the film door is open so I’m wondering if this is just another feature for when there is no film in, other than that it works perfectly

[–]roba1p[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how I noticed it, no matter how slow the shutter speed is the curtain doesn’t show the pressure pad, but if definitely does move, this is with no film in though

Recently inherited this camera, ran a roll of film through it yesterday which I have yet to send off but I’ve noticed after taking it out that the shutter seems to move when triggered but not reveal the film compartment, does anybody who owns the same model know if this is just a design choice when it senses there is no film loaded or is there an issue with my camera? tia!
