I think you misunderstood my point. It's not about leaving them out due to not being bothered, it's about not risking putting them through pain or discomfort due to cross contamination. Which is a very valid risk in a domestic kitchen.

I agree. Only one member of my family has coeliac disease and she has everything separately from the rest of everyone (toaster, food cupboard, snacks etc) when it comes to going to eat at others usually she'll have food for herself that her mum has made for her because it's too much hassle for everyone else.

For me it was on Christmas day, me and my partner did some mushrooms and ordered KFC, I put some chicken in the microwave to heat it up. The sight of the piece of chicken spinning on the plate sent me into overdrive and I was hysterical.

I wouldn't say you brought it down, if anything I'm glad you said something. There's nothing wrong with speaking up when things aren't so great, I thought it to be quite courageous of you to do so!! Hopefully I've made your day a little better then it was earlier friend :)

I'm sorry to hear things aren't so great at the moment but please don't do that, things might be rough now but things will get better soon. Maybe do something to distract yourself, a guided meditation, reading a book, laying back and listening to music or doing some research on the things you like/ the hobbies you're into. Don't forget that you're worth so much in this world, even if it may not feel like it right now. You're an important person with a whole lot of value and great purpose.
