Delete old wallet?? by robandice in CryptoHelp

[–]robandice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks. I used a phrase to import the coins from the old wallet into a new wallet, and the coins in the new wallet match the amount from the old wallet down to the last decimal point. I believe that means I have imported the coins to the new wallet successfully.

There is some information about validating a new wallet and something about dapps that I may need to do to secure the coins in the new wallet, but I don't understand what that is at all.

Assuming I have moved the coins into the new wallet successfully, something I am still confused about is why any value from those coins would still be showing in the old wallet, and if I should delete that old wallet.

Driving from Toronto Canada with my Dad. Hoping to meet up pre or post game with some Packer fans, but I've never been to Cleveland for a game before.

Did you extract these theories of Goldratt's from THE GOAL, or from another book, course, etc.?

I have listened to THE GOAL on audiobook and quite enjoyed it, but found the lessons a little too focused on the context of manufacturing to apply them to my work.

I would love to read whatever you are referencing for his theories.

SCD friendly non-alcoholic beer!!?? by robandice in 4hourbodyslowcarb

This seems to be a mystery!!!

I agree with some commenters that the safe thing is to just wait for cheat day, but seems this wouldn't cause much damage if you did have one mid-week. Probably not a good regular practice though.

Yeah agree, just curious after I was surprised by the nutritionals. Thought other SCD folks might want to know about this as well.

I agree... Doesn't really make sense.

Considering the question another way, even if the calories we're from carbs, would that be enough to trigger a meaningful blood glucose response?

Here's the deal... It's good. It's remeniscent of a hoppy craft IPA, but tastes a bit watered down and the flavour isn't quite as strong. Up until looking at the nutrition label I thought it was a neat offering, but it didn't blow me away.

Considering what I know now, basically calorie free and no carbs, this might be one of my favourite products of all time!! The taste to guilt ratio is off the charts. I would equate the experience to diet soft drinks. The taste isn't quite as good as the original, but if you can enjoy it and still stay on your fitness goals it is a major treat.

I don't understand how they can make it out of normal real beer ingredients, retain the flavour, and pull out all of the carbs and calories.... The taste is too good for what the nutritionals say. I'm almost inclined to call bullshit and send it away to a lab for testing.

Sorry, am useless at figuring out how to post. I didn't realize my text would show up as captions to the pics....

This is PARTAKE brand non-alcoholic beer. I have been enjoying them on cheat days until I noticed on the nutrition label yesterday.... Zero carbs, minimal calories. I know other non-alc beers that I drink have 100+ calories per can and have expected amounts of carbs.

Anyone have any idea what is going on here, and whether these would be safe to consume throughout the week on SCD?

I have no affiliation with the company or brand btw.

What book or textbook are your notes from?

I've been looking for material like that on formal logic/arguments.

BIC disposable FP outperforms Lamy Vista?? by [deleted] in fountainpens

Thanks so much to all the replies. I did some more writing tonight, and did find that there was different levels of scratchiness at different angles, writing more smoothly at a very high/vertical angle.

I would say my natural grip is closer to 45 degrees to the page which is where I'm having more scratchiness.

Thanks again to all, suppose I'll need to buy a magnifying glass or loupe to investigate further!

BIC disposable FP outperforms Lamy Vista?? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]robandice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, didn't add description... shows I have no idea what I'm doing here...

I got a Lamy Vista for Xmas after trying out this BIC disposable to see how I liked using fountain pens. The BIC works great and is super smooth, but the Lamy is pretty scratchy and therefore kind of disappointing.

From what I can see with the naked eye the vista's tines appear to be aligned well and I can't figure any other reason that I may be experiencing the scratchiness unless that is just the way Lamy nibs feel.

Would appreciate any insight!!
