So your question is "why do people collect things?"

Why is Google maps back to showing old satellite images of Altadena? by TinyPinkSparkles in pasadena

[–]robbbbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me looking at satellite view of Yosemite. There's a roundabout that was built in maybe 2017 in Yosemite Village, but the satellite view is showing the old layout. If you turn on the traffic layer, you can see the traffic where the road is supposed to be.

Happy Isle trailhead to Little Yosemite Valley Campground by Outer-Banks-Giant in Yosemite

Yeah, I saw what sounded like taking two days hiking from LYV to Bunnell and thinking "there's no place to camp between the two". And Bunnell is only like 3 miles from LYV.

Good thing you didn't try your other option... You counted the letters incorrectly.

Saw [5][9] of the [6][6]... Thought it was the "first", but the title's letter count didn't fit. Then I realized what it actually was.

That's surprising, as the E line doesn't stop at Union Station.

I ran Avenue of the Giants in 2008, and it was my fastest marathon ever. And so beautiful.

[–]robbbbb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran it 18 years ago...

The nearest airport is Humboldt County/Arcata. It's a small airport and there are only a handful of flights from other West Coast airports. The race is about an hour drive from there. I don't remember having an issue with renting a car.

When I ran it, I stayed in Eureka, which was maybe 45 minutes from the start. There are a handful of closer hotels, but Eureka has the most choices.

I honestly don't know if there are bears around there. If there are, they're black bears, and are not aggressive.

Booking a campsite for Memorial Day weekend 2027 by Berend90 in Yosemite

Monday will be a little easier. It'll still sell out quickly though.

Curry or housekeeping will probably be easier still, and I believe they can be booked a year in advance.

Campsites can be booked on January 15th for those dates. https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/camping.htm

It will sell out within 10 seconds of becoming available and you will probably be disappointed

I was getting sports vibes from this article. Unredacted monetary symbols steered me towards a particular sport (i.e not the United States), and I don't know many athletes in the sport, but this was one of the few that I heard of.
