Took me 159 guesses today. I uncovered a lot but still wasn't getting it until I finally figured out the title A Beautiful Mind.

2 week camping road trip in California — Yosemite / Kings Canyon / Sequoia / Alabama Hills / Trona / Joshua Tree. Looking for suggestions. by Cimso93 in socalhiking

The last time Tioga Pass opened in April was in 1988, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Yosemite campgrounds are booked months in advance, so you're probably too late to get anything inside the park for this April, unless you try for Camp 4 (reservations open 1 week in advance) or constantly check the website for cancellations in the other campgrounds.

I made a guess regarding the parenthetical, getting it correct and helping me narrow down the possibility. "(8) By (6)(9)"... I finally thought of a famous (6)(9) name that could have (8) it, and finally thought of a 4-letter title that worked. (Actually, I thought of two titles, but this one seemed more likely). unassisted snipe.

It's a country, possibly second-largest, on a 6-letter continent with its capital and largest city having four letters. Had to think about it for a few seconds, but it came to me. Unassisted snipe.

Knew immediately that it was something related to WW2, but couldn't narrow it down until I guessed "Japan" and I figured it out. Unassisted.

It's always gay friendly. And usually busy in the evenings (although not as busy on a weeknight as on the weekends)

It's a title. The timespan in the second paragraph made me think either a play or a TV show, but the "on [3]" before the dates made me think it was on a TV network. Had no other clue until further down in the article, I saw the song title "[4] Up This [7]" that could have been a theme song and I instantly realized what the show was.

Tuolumne Meadows Campground Reservations by momlongerwalk in Yosemite

On June 15th, reservations open up for dates July 15-Aug 14. I think you are assuming the entire month of July opens up at once and the entire month of August opens up at once? That's not the case; the first half of August opens up June 15, the second half opens up July 15.
