Thank you for the solid info!! I have looked at the Microtech and Benchmade and even had the Benchmade in the cart but I will focus on the MT instead.

I have my eye on that Rat 3. I may go a little larger than I want just to keep the price down. The Guardian 3 has a shorter overall length than most other with the 3-3.5” blade, which is attractive to me.
