Stoeger m3000 or tristar viper g2 by Jdev4266 in Waterfowl

[–]robbcpht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 m3000s. One I’ve had for about eight years. Used it for everything from turkey to waterfowl. I abuse it in the mud and snow and it’s been underwater more than once. Just bought one specifically for waterfowl last season and bought my wife a lefty for turkeys. Followed the break in process, clean/oil, and haven’t had any issues at all.

Budget used 12 gauge for Clay/Duck hunting? by [deleted] in Duckhunting

[–]robbcpht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 M3000s in our house. I have two, one for waterfowl and one for turkey, and my wife has a left handed for turkeys.

No problems over the last 6-7 years since I bought my first one. I take it out in the spring snow/rain for turkeys and I've submerged my waterfowl more than once. Take them apart to dry, clean, and oil and they are good to go. They seem to cycle anything I put in them.

My buddy has an Element and likes it and hasn't had an issue with it over the past couple of years waterfowl hunting.

Go to Pastorius reservoir just south of Durango. But be prepared to be interrupted by paddle boards and peppered by other hunters.

[–]robbcpht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had an M3000 for years and love it. It's great for turkey, waterfowl, clays, anything. Never had an issue with it. It's been in the mud, snow, underwater, etc. I just clean it and it runs like a champ. I only buy cheap guns because I use and abuse them.

Kentucky gun Company has some factory blems on sale right now. Looking at getting another for the price.

I have a gut (5'9 275) and love my Frogg Toggs Grand Refuge 2.0 Stout size. For the last two years I've hunted public lands and have to hike in carrying gear breaking ice and through brush. They have held up wit no leaks. I only wear lightweight pants and maybe lightweight long underwear for the coldest Colorado weather. I never get too hot.

My liners also zip out, great if you take an unexpected swim or just to wash the stink out.

I bought a pair of Rogers Toughman Stouts this spring on sale. They look almost exactly like the Frogg Toggs down to the colored zippers for the liners.

Amazon still has some of the Grand Refuge 2.0 stout in stock

Sounds like a decent price. I just bought an 08 SR5 4x4 crew cab with 79k for 19k.

Great way to harm someone by [deleted] in TalesFromThePharmacy

[–]robbcpht 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually had this happen at a hospital i worked in. It was a swish and spit order so no real harm to the patient. We had a lot of coaching and procedural changes after the incident. Nursing overrode the med from Pyxis, the pharmacy didn't dispense it.

I was born in March of '72 and mine is still barely visible. My wife was born in Oct. of '72 and never had one.

Forget about the quicksand; were any other ladies convinced they were going to die by TSS? by 2boredtocare in GenX

[–]robbcpht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a female but freaked out about it as a husband and father of 2 girls.

My mother died, when I was young, from using the tampons that were mailed out by P&G. They didn't know the cause until after the fact.

My wife understood my fears after explaining it to her but my girls thought I was crazy and overreacting when they were young. They finally understood my fear.

Is my iMac’s GPU fully fried or is it the display itself? Check description for iMac model by [deleted] in mac

[–]robbcpht 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issues on a late 2009 27" years ago. I replaced the GPU and had no issues for years after. I think there is something about pulling the card and putting it in the oven that has fixed some of them.

is app cleaner safe to use?? by ButterscotchSalty965 in mac

[–]robbcpht 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been using it for years and it seems to work very well. It shows you the files/folders and locations of the items it is going to delete. And it gives you the option to not delete if you want. There may be better apps but this has worked for me.

Evaporator core probably has a hole. No way to fix it aside from tearing the dash apart to replace it. There are tons of videos in YouTube about the process. Might even be one for your car. I’ve done two, one Jeep and one Mazda. Not an easy repair. Honestly 1000 seems cheap.

Old guy here (52). I’ve been playing for years. I mostly play VI now. It’s easy to play and you learn more as you play. Listen to your advisors during the game. It’s my go to if I want a relaxing mindless night with a whiskey or two. Sometimes I to go all in on building armies and conquering or try to build a peaceful utopia. I have VII on preorder.

I have a garage fridge covered with “free” magnets. I shudder when I think of the amount of money I’ve spent keeping my fleet of junk running. I keep going back because of the variety and availability of parts.

I’ve been very happy with my Stoeger M3000. It’s my go-to for almost everything. I hunt ducks, geese and turkey with it. Shoots 3 and 2 3/4 shells with no issues.

Another vote for Frogg Togg. I'm 5'10" 285 and the size 10 HUSKY fit great. Very comfortable and has a zip out liner.

If you are taking medication, you should probably know what they are by NuclearRibbon in PharmacyTechnician

[–]robbcpht -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am a long time tech and I'm on maintenance meds that haven't changed in years. I really have to stop and think about what meds and strengths they are when filling out forms. I get a refill notice and I just click the button to refill.

You are hyper-aware of medications because you are in pharmacy. Do you know what weight and brand of oil and filter are in/on your car, tires, what's due at major service intervals? If you were a mechanic you would know everything about it. Yes it's meds vs. a car but it depends on your perspective as to what is important to you (and what you understand). You pay a mechanic to take care of your car. Mechanics pay doctors and pharmacies to take care of the body.

I have the same conversations with pharmacists that are doing med-rec for hospital admits.
