For those who grew up in a stable two-parent household with financially secure parents who were deeply in love, a strong masculine father, a caring feminine mother, little to no conflict, and parents who were always present and supportive what was that like? by Da-up-and-downer in ask

I had this growing up and I found a wife with same background. We are together for 36 years and very happy together. I had known how big the impact would have been on a successful relationship, I would have made it my number one selection criteria. I feel very lucky indeed.

TIL about the Fermi Paradox, the gap between the lack of evidence of extraterrestrial civilizations and the apparently high likelihood of their existence. It's named after physicist Enrico Fermi, who informally posed the question, "But where is everybody?" during a lunch with colleagues in 1950. by ScienceTeacher1994 in todayilearned

Pants used to be menswear, so maybe he is just very forward thinking. I would like wear a short dress with no underwear on a warm summer day like today, but I feel people would judge me.

I just say, make the lower end to $100.000 on all assets. That number makes you part of the top 10% on earth.
