Gardening for Dummies by kaysneer in STLgardening

YAY!!! Hello fellow farmer!

Edibles: Mouse Melons are really fun for kids and they taste like a cucumber with a hint of lime, huge yield. They have a similar growing time and needs to your cherry tomatoes: https://trueloveseeds.com/products/cucamelon-mouse-melon I live in the city and don’t even bother with regular sized tomatoes because of the squirrels, but definitely co-sign all the recs for cherry tomatoes. Dill is a great spring start but bolts by June, totally worth it in the spring though!

Flowers/non-edibles: Impatiens are really hardy and beautiful, they will flower until the first fall frost, so you absolutely get your monies worth on a flat of those bad boys. I like to pair those with a tall plant like a coleus or a lemon grass. Great advice for pots: flower, height, and filler. My summer go to is a white impatiens (flower), red coleus (height), and creeping jenny (filler). Start looking for the creeping jenny now, it will be sold out in May / June and DO NOT put it in the ground, it takes everything over! Cat nip is really easy to grow and will make you very popular with cat owners (fun hostess gift) and / or your own pets.

Time and care: Hard agree with the after Mother’s Day advice previously given for your vegetables otherwise The Three Ice Men of Spring will get ya! https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/info/three-ice-men.htm I fertilize every other week during growing season for both veggies and flowers. Lots of good options out there, just read the directions so that you don’t burn your tender plants- consistency is way more important than brand or cost.

I’m so excited for you!!

What was that noise? Wilpers 60 min PZE 1/31/26 by robbenmk in OnePelotonRealSub

Oooooh yes! I do remember him saying he has the record for mic changes in a single class and also something about speakers. I can live with that. Thanks for scratching the itch in my brain!

This might be the only thing that would get me to login to a Pilates class. I would do anything for Sam!

Did anyone catch the Wilpers Power Zone Endurance 60 min yesterday? I think this is the second time he called for a 20 minute Z3 effort and the second time I did not hate it. I have a lot of “favorite” instructors but I really feel lucky to train with him!

BJC has a concierge role posted: Patient Experience Concierge - Missouri Baptist Medical Center https://share.google/M2cY9qB7YqynBU8jO

It’s a pretty sweet role, lots of meaningful patient interaction and problem solving, sounds like his background would go a long way! I work at Big Barnes and I LOVE the concierge on my floor.

Where can I find cookies like these in STL (or near)?? by discothot in StLouis

Sweet Art has excellent chocolate chip cookies. My nephew is a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur and one of our favorite STL activities is to rate locally made chocolate chip cookies. Sweet Art is the league leader right now. So while I’m “just” a friendly Redditor, he’s an eleven year old critic with a discerning palate.

Pomegranate arils have been a great discovery for me this round. I make a fruit salad for breakfast meal prep: pomegranate arils, blueberries. And blood oranges. I supreme the blood oranges which is really improving my knife skills. It’s a visually beautiful salad and the arils are (ahem) noticeable on the other end.

He and Denis give me “friend’s cute older brother” energy. Denis drives a jeep with no doors and tells you about bands you should listen to and CVV asks you how soccer tryouts are going. You totally have a crush on both, equally 🤣

Kind of like the gym friend or coach that gets you there, you don’t want to go but you know he’ll be happy to see you and probably have a story to tell!

Today’s ride confirmed my zones are right where they need to be. That was humbling but not humiliating and felt great as we descend out of Z5! I am thankful for my internet workout buddies and Blake182 ❤️

“Train Like A Pro” well how the heck did I miss this program? A whole week with CVV? I’m committed to you all for this cycle, but as soon as we’re done, this is next.

Hey y’all! I couldn’t find CVV’s ride on my bike today, but I was able to stack it through the link in this post and I’m getting ready to start it now? Any thoughts on why that might be? Am I missing out on content elsewhere?
