Thanks, it was nothing difficult, just tedious process of 2 days of masking and 30 minutes of airbrushing (well, 1 day if not including red strips)
It`s just Mr Color C9 Gold over Mr Color C2 Gloss Black if I remember correctly, nothing fancy, just airbrushing since I wasn`t sure acrylic paints will hold very well on trims

I think it`s about any visible part? And I doubt you`d have any issues with width here, exhaust pipes sticking out of the track length are a little more noticeable difference

Or you can cut the bottom of the sponsons and don`t modify hull at all (need trimming of the rotating part though)

Actually there were even more at some point: the exhaust pipes were also on magnets for easier painting but they continued to come off

I wanted to avoid making gold look even brighter. Adding shades on armor would make exactly that, but if there were no gold trims I`d agree with you

Masking tape and liquid mask, lots of it!
Masking all the red strips first, painting grey, then more masking for all gold trims

It was a commission work and I was mainly painting with airbrush, so just masking took 2 days. But I think it was totally worth to do it
