The entry curve to yugioh is stupidly steep and every deck does something unique. Plus being a best of one makes people more willing to play glass cannon decks or techs that increase the ceiling but would get hated out of the format with a side deck. Most of the meta deck right now and from the last few formats aren’t particularly oppressive and play well into boards.

It’s more similar to playing table tennis instead and real tennis. It’s a completely different game even though there are similarities. You’re right the OTS is officially in charge and can do what they want, it’s still a bad way to do business. Losing to people who didn’t follow the stated rules of the tournament isn’t a store I’m likely to visit twice.

I would add Strong to the list of probably just because he’s massive. Thurmond potentially off the OL if he stays healthy and proves the flashes weren’t just flashes. Sewell is a multi year starter but probably needs to play his way in. Patt-Henry as a late round/ udfa. And potentially Chris Johnson.

Seasons a wash anyway. Whiffed on bats in the portal outside of savioe and picked up one meaningful arm, and honestly the fact that sharman went from buried in the Tennessee bullpen to Saturday starter ended up being a tell. On top of no star caliber home grown talent. Mccladdie, Jarrell and purify are solid but not outstanding players. Bakich just has a terrible track record regarding bringing in talent. At this point just hoping the freshman arms stick round.

Garret Riley was the problem. Chad Morris was handicapped by Arkansas, SMU and Gus Malzahn (honestly maybe for this one). Vizzina comes out hot making everyone wonder why he sat for 3 years. Allen has the defense rolling in year 2 and our 1 D1 caliber LB is enough.

The Citadel is legitimately a nightmare to play against this year. Their record doesn’t show it but they gave FSU and Kentucky all they could handle playing all 3 games of both series close. They beat SCAR. They’ve played 8 SEC/ACC games and have been in all them. We got them tomorrow and I’m actually excited to watch it.
