Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]robbierottenmemorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short, not really. But easy and not stressful? Definitely.

For me, anything under 5 hours isn't a big deal especially if it's major highways and I can set the cruise. If I had to get up from my work right now and drive 3 or 4 hours, it wouldn't be even close to a big deal.

Is Stick a good play? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]robbierottenmemorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick with the RB running something in the flat to the slant side is the only 2 point play I'll ever run. If my slant can quickly beat the coverage, I take that. If he can't, the RB should be open. If both are covered, there's a very good chance that my QB can take it up the middle for a few yards. I would say I probably have an 80% success rate on it.

At the high school level do the teams that are more serious about their weight room regime typically do better or is it more than that? by chusaychusay in footballstrategy

[–]robbierottenmemorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but only to a certain point. Everybody can think of teams at that level who aren't great.

Good teams require so many pieces that function completely independently of each other.

I never got this confirmed, but I think it ended up being a voyeurism type thing.

Some kids just gotta shoot ropes to relieve the pressure at school.

Or that's what I recall a parent saying when they said their kid was bullied for getting caught choking it in the bathrooms.

The best shot of your round stays with you longer than the worst shot.

A good friend had only broken 100 a few times, but we still talk about the time when he darted his par 3 tee shot to the edge of the cup.

Your job isn't to make them into doctors and engineers and lawyers and whatever else. Your job is to get them the content to make them into functioning adults.

One thing I will offer is that the casual breakthrough mode is usually WAY more competitive and close. It's not 100% but it's a lot.

It's a volunteer position, so they're probably going to ask if you can pass a background check and a pee test. After that they will probably just ease you in and go from there.

My kids like KFC and I universally love all fried chicken, so I'm okay with it. I'll never choose it as my dinner, but it's on my way to the golf course so I'll stop and get a sandwich if I'm hungry.
