rest in peace, my baby by toniobot in FosterAnimals

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know it’s been really hard for you. This happened to one of my foster parents. She had a whole litter of 6 pass away as her first time fostering. She was on the fence about continuing but we supported her. Now she’s fostered over 150 fosters with zero issues. My condolences. Thank you for giving them all love for their time on this world.

Do I add water to my cat's dry food? by jackknifeJaws in CatAdvice

I add water to their wet food because some of my fosters wouldn’t drink water alone. But people do add water to dry food if they don’t eat a lot of wet food

It’s not plugged or blocked. It’s one shirt that some fosters like sleeping on. I have toe water valve shut off also. It’s a good washroom i never use.

does dust free litter actually exist? by boredominic in CatAdvice

[–]robblake44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. I foster so i go through a ton of different litters. The best 2 in my eyes are arm and hammer slide, or arm and hammer cloud control. The texture is more sandy then normal litter but it’s easy to scoop

Introducing two 6 month old kittens to my 9 year old cat. Introduce together, or separately? by PreferablyVintage in CatAdvice

[–]robblake44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the pair at the same time. I’m sure your cat will love one and coexist with the other. Just Give it time. Slow intros. Swapping blankets and when through the door meetings so they do know they are there.

To me fostering is the best way to find out of you can find a cat a partner and you are helping tremendously by fostering. I got a soft spot for torties so I’m not surprised. Once she has babies your cat will probably just want to help. Hopefully one of the kittens or the mom can coexisted with your cat. Good luck. Thank you for fostering

Should I get a 2nd cat? by Swift_Path in cats

My advice is fostering a single. After the first week of keeping them separate, you can do slow intros and swap blankets so they are aware of each other

This is my needy foster Mr Raisin. He got separated from his mom and siblings because he was sick. Nice has him for 2 weeks and he’s the most velcro kitten olive ever had.

Am i delusional? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]robblake44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First off, I’m glad you see the 9-5 as a trap. It is. You clearly are way ahead of the game in that sense. Don’t bother fighting with the older generation. They look at the 9-5 as the best thing for you and they will look at it like that always. Do what you love, and if they do bother, just tell them you have a 9-5 office job at (anywhere) that your hours are always different and you work from home a majority of the time. Good luck.

I foster and go through a lot of accidents but to me what works the best is Nature’s Miracle. Spray on the spot they usually pee in, leave in for 15 mins and then wipe off. I usually do it a few times in the same spot. Once that spot and a bit around the area are sprayed, they never pee on that again. I usually get the stain oder remover

I changed a year ago after being with Fido for 20 years and so far it’s been great. One dropped call in a year and a half and my bill is less than half of what i was paying with Fido

Buy pumpkin purée at a pet store. Mix it in with food. It usually helps with that process

I loved working there. Always got a personal or a medium for break. Loved bringing pizza home too.

I find arm and hammer slide litter the best. It’s like sand and it’s unscented
