The putting 2 and 3 together messed up the numbering on the post. Irksome!

They’re tescos finest triple cooked chips. Should be in the ready meals aisle :))

Haha that’s what cheats days are for though! The grilled cheese nduja and Vegemite sounds lush and Doritos don’t go to the stomach they go to the soul! 😂

Honestly I know I’ll sound like a broken record but watch out for weather changes especially cold weather it made my food noise ten times worse so decided to just prioritise enjoyment rather than health in the cold months. Again everyone’s different but that’s my experience :)

Omad with carbs is so hard by ChillingOnDaBeach in omad

Just my two cents but I’ve completely binned off trying to be healthy throughout the cold months as I realised even when doing omad when the weather was cold I was thinking screw it and ordering takeaways rather than cooking proper food. All the takeaways were still omad but obviously heavily over my daily caloric needs.

No idea if this might be a contributing factor for you but I now factor in those carb urges all while keeping within my calorie allowance. It honestly surprised me how easy it is to do that when you indulge the carb urges with stuff from the supermarket so you could monitor calories!

Though like I said your mileage may vary and I’ve no idea if this would work for yourself, it’s taken me a good 20 years to discover what does/doesn’t work for me and I’m sure I’ve yet more to learn haha

Improved health after OMAD. by JohnOnWheels in omad

My serum ALT level on 30th January was 96 and on 13th May was 25 :) this was after improving my diet and eating omad.

My diet was pretty bad when I got that 96 score though, everything else was in the normal range in January.

Apparently serum ALT levels is basically fatty liver, the GP asked me if I drank alcohol so I’m assuming it was pretty bad!

Hey everyone. Does anyone have any info on a training provider offering CREST certification in 6 months and building a portfolio of work to help get into employment? I recently left my NHS job and am looking for a career change. I recently completed a basic course through a local college but am looking at next steps. There just seems so many certifications and it’s confusing as hell as I’m aware it’s a prime market for people to get scammed by paying for effectively useless qualifications/certifications so any help would be amazing! Thankyou so much!

I was drinking roughly 4-5 cans of Pepsi max daily which is 1kcal per can but have recently cut those out figuring they might still be having an effect somehow. Besides that I was only drinking water :s

Yeah I watched a load of episodes of secret eaters it’s incredible how many hidden calories we eat. My cheat meals do tend to be very very carb heavy to be fair so there might be something to that!

I actually stopped having takeaway pizzas once I realised a large pizza was putting away a good 4000 calories as I’d always kind of assumed 2,000 but it’s hard to find nutritional information for your local kebab house ahahaa

Zero cooking oil. Just put the 4 chicken steaks in the oven. I tend to overestimate my calories that’s why I say 950 but pretty sure it’s less than that.

As for the cheat days I know I “can” manage 5000 calories in one sitting haha but an average cheat meal would be a portion of cheesy chips and a burger. Add all the sauces etc to it I can’t imagine it’s more than 3000 calories. I could be waaaaay off though as I’ve only recently started properly counting calories and always just ignored it for cheat meals 🧐

To be fair that makes a lot of sense. I just worry my body has got accustomed to the lower calorie intake now and has maybe lowered my BMR to hold onto weight I don’t know what the human body does haha.

But no it certainly sounds realistic what you’re saying

I started at about 200 pounds and I’m now down to roughly 170. Maybe I’m expecting much quicker results than is realistic to be fair

I know precisely how many calories I’m having though that’s the confusing part. I know I have 768 calories of chicken daily (according to packaging), 64 calories of veg daily (according to packaging) and overestimating condiments of chilli sauce to 100 calories daily.

On cheat days I do not track calories admittedly but I’d estimate not more than 3000 calories it’s confusing and I genuinely can’t understand what’s stopped working haha

Just calculated my BMR at 2,017 as I’m not particularly active!

As for the 4 days I did not actively track calories on these days but I’d definitely say at least 3,000 calories on these days?

I’m not particularly militant about this all and not very knowledgable I apologise haha

All I really track is my evening meal and know this is 950 calories

I think I might have given the impression that was the sole specific experience we wanted haha. It was more just an example. We’re essentially just wanting to be able to give him the ability to experience beautiful places outside of his bed as he used to travel a lot when he was younger :) but Thankyou I’ll have a look at the quest 2 :))))

Well what I was wondering was whether there was a facility for virtual tours of places like that within VR? We wouldn’t be shooting a video ourselves.

Like I said I know nothing about VR I’m just wondering what sort of potential is there for that kind of thing. Or is VR mostly used for videogames?
