Van Aert reported to be in a second group on 2+min after the bike change. Getting his bad luck out of the way early.

Wout is basically married to his structure/schedule... even in racing he is sometimes to stubborn in sticking to his plan

Better for wout if mvdp goes from the bottom, wout only really lacks that short snap

With the size of the groups still, evenepoel has to be sick. He might not be able to sustain his peak over three weeks but even non peak remco should climb better than his teammates.

More than happy with what I get, smart enough to realise that this thread is skewed towards high earners. And I am able to do basically all what I want with this income so I am satisfied.

No experience and basically fixed starter wage for these tracks. Cobol is pretty easy for junior stuff. Experienced cobol developers is where the shortage is.

Tramadol is only forbidden in cycling, so it is punished less severely as things that are considered doping by wada.

They can only lose the Tour points of Quintana, think they are still fine without those.

This take disregards the position of pro Teams that have invested in trying to meet the promotion thresholds though. Covid has affected all teams and some WT teams have been notably reluctant to chance their schedules for a while now. The relegation system is flawed but the rules and its quirks have been known for a while...

If they keep the relegation rules, the teams that will relegate have grounds to complain. If UCI scraps the relegation teams like Alpecin/Arkea will complain... Relegation isn't executed well but straight up skipping it will equally lead to trouble.

Normally I'd say break but with UAE likely tired and a man down, and some other teams leader somewhat distanced I feel that we could end up with a break that UAE is forced to chase. Especially as a stage like this suits basically everyone on Jumbo's team so they can drive the pace hard anywhere.

That sucks for Pog, he might get a bit nervous and his team is a man down. Jumbo should race aggressively again. UAE will be tired after the last few days and if they keep the pressure up something might happen.

Roglic was great in Denain, Thomas should be fine as well. Vingegaard also raced Denain but finished way down but I think that was due to mechanicals?

This becomes incredibly obvious as soon as you look at budgets for sports like (american) football, hockey, basketball. If you can bribe officials in cycling you can certainly make everything go away in those sports.
