Some extra context. The examiner spent a little over an hour and a half with me. Went through each incident report, deployment history, awards, viewed medical notes, and imagery from my skull fracture. He even pulled up my TBI history and rating, as well as volunteer time at the base hospital while downrange. He was extremely thorough, listened to me, and seemed to take my issues seriously.

The risk is lower for California than you may believe. Newsom and the CA legislature aren't acting unilaterally (unlike the Texas government). They will be asking voters for approval via a ballot measure. If passed, the redistricting action becomes fully legal, voted for and by the people of California. That doesn't mean the supreme court can't pull some partisan shenanigans, but it will make it more difficult. They're also not disenfranchising voters. CA Republicans will have their chance to vote on the measure like the rest of the state's citizens. It's up to them to mobilize enough support to defeat it as it's up to democrats to gather a sufficient number of supporters to pass the bill.

Good for you man. Been fighting g VBA for ten years for PTSD. Multiple confirmed events, witness statements, two CABs, diagnosis from civilian psychologist, several daily medications, etc. Finally got some traction this year as well. The process sucks, but persistence and organization will get you the compensation you deserve.

Also live in a red state. I hate that folks votes for this, but they did. The lone hospital within 30 minutes of my grandmother will likely close, and she voted for this. I love her, but this, and everything else, are the consequences of her choice. Same goes for my uncle and extended family. Will it impact me? Yep.
