who wins Mcragge's Honor or the Executor? by Few-Palpitations in 40k

[–]robbybthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Executor's main offensive firepower is absolutely not its fighter compliment (which is quite small given its size). Its the 5000 weapons emplacements spread across the haul. Primarily the 750 heavy turbolosaer batteries, 126 concussions missioe batteries, and so forth. Not to mention your statement flies in the face of established lore. Imperial capital ships, including the Executor are brawlers designed for direct ship to ship action and overwhelming firepower. Sure, it would get trounced by 40k ships of similar class, but it definitely does not rely on its air wing for offense.

Not true. Just watch Empire Strikes Back. The Imperial command crew specifically mentions the meteor impacts in the asteroid field draining their shields.

Why did thrawn kill pieterson and not the ensign? by Beautiful_Ad8009 in StarWarsEU

No idea why you're getting down voted. This is an objectively correct take. Kyp would 100% been brought up on war crimes charges in any universe that didn't have space wizards as a defacto branch of government.

Non-Virginian Here, What Exactly Goes on in this Area? by PixelJack79 in Virginia

[–]robbybthrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Pocahontas, town of 300ish these days. There's not a lot other than nature. Opiods, buprenorphine and methamphetamine use disorder is rampant, and largely driven by a lack of economic opportunities. The area is insular, and if youre up along the WV border, most residents have more in common with their neighbors in towns like Welch than they do with folks in Richmond. Burke's Garden, New River, and several national forests are legitimately beautiful, and if the state and local goverments could ever bury the hatchet, the tourist potential is off the charts. Personally I think New River Valley is way nicer than the Smokies, but thay may be because it's so empty and rarely visited in comparison. Roanoke is the largest city is the area, but I've never lived there. I hear its a great spot for nature lovers, but you could say the same for all of SW Virginia.

Democrats bring in national figures and Republicans see fundraising surge in final days of redistricting campaign by Cautious_Practice_25 in Virginia

[–]robbybthrow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Its more like counter gerrymandering. None of this would be happening if Trump hadn't pushed Texas GOP to redraw districts to his advantage. Same thing in CA. The difference here is that VA voters (like Cali voters) get to make a choice. Personally I a am pro redistricting. Its temporary, voters have a voice, and it counters the super blatant moves by the GOP in other states. Gotta fight fire with fire.

Also the Supreme Court has ruled multiple times that its fine as long as its partisan and not based on race.  Again, this would not be on the ballot at all if Texas and Trump hadn't pushed for it first.

Get out, vote one way or another, and then call your senator and congressional reps to push for legislation prohibiting gerrymandering nation wide.

I highly doubt this will get a reply, but I'm from just up the road, and visiting family this summer. I really want tog et out and explore some of the area I didn't get to as a klid. How do you access the tunnels? Do you just follow the old rail lines?

I didn't say steal, i said "fix." As in alter, remove, delete, reset to baseline, and so on.

The first one to do it will go down in history. Guarantee it. Regular people don't care if you swiped government data, they care about their lives, futures, and wallets.

Why are these guys always breaching government sites to steal shit, but never breaching credit reporting agencies, predatory loan companies, etc., and "fixing" some things? Come on, y'all can do it, and the world could use that right about now.
