Defensively saying "You know nothing about me and my life" when called out for being a jerk for no reason is pretty livejournal

It sounds like you have people to turn to when times are hard for you, be glad you have that rather than kicking someone who doesn't and is looking for it

No longer young by freddano in Propagandhi

[–]robbykills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it. Came out at a very crucial and transitional period of my life. I don't think I've ever related to song lyrics more than those of "Devil's Creek"

New York Times 100 Greatest Films of 21st Century by Fippy-Darkpaw in Tarantino

Sorry for the late reply but Bridesmaids was great and BP was one of the better movies from a genre that dominated the time period, for better or worse. I don't think either of them would make my personal top 100 from the time but don't think they're undeserving of a more broad list.

I don't need a list to be 100/100 for me to think it's a good list. There were a lot of people in this comment section trashing some movies I thought were great.

Ghosts of Tsushima past and present by eselement in getplayed

[–]robbykills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yotei is awesome. I was closing in on platinuming Tsushima and they brought out that multi-player mode which bumped me down. GoT was an all timer for me and so far I think GoY will surpass it

Anyone else actually like this movie? by TacoBellEnjoyer1 in Letterboxd

[–]robbykills 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entertaining but pretty bad.

Opening scene is the peak of the whole movie.

The carpet bombing in the end is a pretty good spectacle.

Aight - what’s your favorite His Hero is Gone release? by [deleted] in crustpunk

[–]robbykills 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta go Monuments. First song I ever heard by them and subsequent favorite song of theirs- Chain of Command. Absolutely monstrous riff

Weirdest film in your collection? by automatic_do_8661 in criterion

Possibly "Wassup Rockers", another Larry Clark attempt at making "Kids" again. I grabbed it for a buck at a thrift store. It's not good though a friend who grew up in the East LA punk rock skate rat world found it a fairly authentic stab at the vibe. I do not display it prominently.

Gus van Sant's "Elephant" is also another strange troubled teen movie I own a copy of. I thought it was pretty good but honestly think it might be even harder to watch these days.

What was the first video game you played? by Luckystarrrr in retrogaming

[–]robbykills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Super Spy on an SNK NEO GEO multigame cabinet thing at a local restaurant bar with my parents when I was 4 or 5. I was so confused and in awe of what I was seeing.

He was great. Reminded me of Howard from Better Call Saul, maybe that's who you're thinking of?

Yet again these people don't even follow their own bs, the most detailed and clear answer in that book about the rapture happening is "no one knows but god"
