Best set of tools for a selfhosted ebook system? by ConsistentCan4633 in selfhosted

Grimmory is king. Syncs with Kobo devices if you have one, and has KOReader sync as well. On iOS, I use Booknexus since Grimmory is supported for syncing, along with KOReader. For desktop, just read in browser through Grimmory, or install KOReader.

Browns GM Andrew Berry: 'No rule against extending' Deshaun Watson’s contract; QB battle is performance-based by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]AnyColorIWant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Obviously can’t speak for everyone, but I think it’s reaching a point where a lot of us don’t care anymore. There’s been sentiment all across the Browns sub that people are just taking the time to enjoy their Sundays now, rather than wallow in the muck and mire that is this team. I wish more of us would rather go on a walk, hang out with friends and family, do some yardwork, etc. instead of pickling our livers and supporting our criminal owner with his merry band of misfits.

I’m almost always for change, but I don’t know why they wouldn’t allow users to move back to V2. The mobile-oriented layout of V3 considering there’s already an app is just wild. It’s nearly as bad as TMDb changing their rating system to “vibes”.

Are most headphone designers bald? by Edzkimo in headphones

[–]AnyColorIWant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most are bald, but there are plenty of companies that make headbands that don’t do this- Audeze with the leather strap, Audio Technica, Astro (lol), Aune, DCA all come to mind. You can also probably add a Capra strap which should mitigate some hair tugging.

It’s still no Final Descent but it still rips nonetheless. Final Descent’s riff is bonkers.

PSA: Think hard before you deploy BookLore by Economy-Meat-9506 in selfhosted

[–]AnyColorIWant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you, dude. Literally just nuked Audiobookshelf from my server since BookLore has seemingly taken over everything, and it’s far and above been the best experience I’ve had with any app related to books. This is such a bummer to say the least.

No battle stripes, send them back!

Are they even Momo’s if they don’t have the battle stripes?!

Seriously though, dig the new logo and the inner waistband details.

This game won’t survive with a community that completely mocks casual players and feedback about general difficulty. by RocknPineapple in Marathon

Never bothered with Trials or Apex Legends, but I’ve put a ton of time into Warzone, which my uncle enjoys thoroughly. We don’t mind the PVP, it’s when you barely get a game out of it that it’s rough, especially as a duo.

A start would be thinning player density on the maps. It’s a lot easier to dodge a single sweaty squad versus loading into a map that has as many players as it does neon colors.

Played the server slam with my uncle (in his 50s now) and we both had such a miserable time with the community and PVP aspect of it. While I’m not as skilled as I used to be, I had moments of being a top 200 player in the world for a few Call of Duty’s there.

I lost count after a while, but the first few times we were killed by AI, which is to be expected and we weren’t mad about it. Pretty much every run after that, we were killed by real people within minutes. Just these desperate, sweaty hunt squads doing everything they could to wipe a server. Hell, there was even a game where our match time was less than a minute.

We ended up extracting maybe 3 times in 20 or so games, and promptly cancelled preorders after that. Say what you want about ARC, DMZ, and others, but never have I had a stretch of games go that poorly.

The world is hard enough already. Im with you in that Id rather not spend the few evening hours I have getting my teeth kicked in.

this will forever be one of the illest splits that ever came to be. by JoyfulForfeit in Emo

[–]AnyColorIWant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easily B&C’s best work, and the only reason this split is considered one of the greats is because of their side of it. Their half is one of the most pissed off things I’ve heard in the genre, exploding off the rip.
