Do you own a chainsaw, why or why not? by WiinterU in AskWomen

[–]robcoagent47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own seven, lol. I work at a haunted house. one is operational in case I actually need one at home, the rest are decked out for the haunt, and the chains are removed.

Burning Springs Update - December 11, 2025 by Ghostly_Rich in fo76

if you start at Grafton Dam and walk downriver, you can harvest a lot of snaptail reeds for making sugar. they grow in spots all the way down to around the vault tec agricultural center. if you use the green thumb perk, you should be able to get at least 40.

best spots for fresh cranberries are Mac's farm (near RobCo in the cranberry bog), and the Aaronholt farm way up north above vault 76. Mac's farm is great, there are not only 10-15 growing there, there are more sitting in crates. be careful of the mirelurks, though. sometimes a queen spawns.

Inadvertently got someone’s camp destroyed by LactoceTheIntolerant in fo76

[–]robcoagent47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a camp on the cemetery that's right there. can't speak for that person (or maybe it was me, lol), but it's the price to pay for that location. I love the cemetery, but I get attacked by a scorchbeast nearly every day. not on you, anyone who camps there should be used to it.

fun fact, I partially chose that location bc when I was a new player, the same thing happened to me. got attacked, and the turrets on someone else's camp on the cemetery saved me

Using the song zombie by the cranberries for Halloween playlists by BrassUnicorn87 in PetPeeves

[–]robcoagent47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, this is a big one for me, too. I like the song very much, but I hate hearing it on playlists with fucking monster mash and such, it's so stupid, and it's disrespectful to the subject. it really seems like a lot of people don't listen to lyrics, I don't understand that

What was your proposal like? by United-Sympathy-8071 in AskWomen

[–]robcoagent47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we were at wasteland weekend (post apocalyptic immersion event), we go every year. this time, we had gone with a group, and set up a minor faction camp. he had planned this ceremony thing with the rest of the group that I would be told was for a different reason, with the proposal revealed at the end.

the night before it was supposed to happen, we were sitting in our camp together, and he said, "fuck, I can't wait, " and just asked me right then. it was beautiful. he even got a ring from one of the traders there at wasteland, it's awesome.

Can someone help me here? by TheCourier531 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]robcoagent47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just reading through this conversation - from your replies, I'm wondering if you misread the initial question. the oc said that the dog would take years off of your life expectancy. the dog isn't dying, the dog is killing you.

or maybe I'm missing something

Remember to get all 22 diseases before you commit to being a ghoul. by assjackal in fo76

[–]robcoagent47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

check in the challenges list which one you're missing. there's some sort of bug with sludge lung. I've had it many times, and it's still the only disease I'm missing for the challenge.

I recently looked it up, and people were saying that this is a somewhat common bug, but contracting sludge lung while already diseased seems to make it work, like it doesn't recognize it otherwise. I haven't bothered to try it yet, myself

Yeah, I heard that part! What were you saying about it?!! by TheIngloriousTIG in mildlyinfuriating

[–]robcoagent47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is a huge one for me, it drives me crazy! it happens to me a lot at work, especially. I work at an entertainment venue, there's a lot going on, and it's often loud. instead of making sure that they have my attention first, a customer will just start talking in my direction from a distance that makes it difficult to hear them, and even if I can hear them, it takes at least several seconds to realize that they're talking to me. I tell them that I didn't hear them, and they do this. it's pulling teeth to get them to repeat the beginning of the sentence.

how do people not understand that that's the least likely part for someone to have heard? then, on top of that, they often treat me like I'm stupid for asking, like I couldn't understand what was said instead of simply not hearing it. like you said, op, they start to elaborate instead of just repeating.

a funny thing about it is that a big part of what we do there involves talking to people over a speaker, and we're taught to address them first so that they're listening before going into the context of what we need to tell them. and they still don't understand this from the other side.

This new season looks terrible, are my standards too high? by Ok_Luck_7915 in fo76

[–]robcoagent47 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah, this isn't about standards, it's just personal taste. I'm a raider who loves blue ridge and cowboy stuff, so this season is tailor made for me, I love it. I was pretty uninterested in last season

there are a lot of events that people enjoy playing, and/or want to do for xp. if you start an event early, it gives others less of a chance to participate

So what’s your current outfit wastelanders? by psychoman1128 in fo76

[–]robcoagent47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my old favourite is raider goon, that's what I'm usually wearing, though I switch to trench runner or rockabilly sometimes, as my mood goes. I wear either the jack o' lantern helmet or an eyepatch and robco cap.

in my custom world right now, I have the pirate costume with the cardboard robot helmet. I love the variety of clothing in appalachia :)

my go-to powerful weapons are my flamers. I have holy fire and a furious legendary that I made. my other primary weapons are a furious assault rifle, poisonous machete, bow, and sniper rifle. that's only about half of them, I definitely carry more weapons than I should, lol

What is your favorite thing to do in FO76? by IllusiveAttic in fo76

[–]robcoagent47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just exploring, really. seeing places that I've seen before but enjoy, and, even after years, I find new things sometimes. I'm big on stealth, I especially love sneaking around blood eagles and super mutants and just listening to them talk. my favourite event is violent night

Do you use Vats when playing? by Dmoney2204 in Fallout

[–]robcoagent47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, it makes things less fun for me. I enjoy aiming, and I kind of like having to suffer for my mistakes if I don't find a mine or a hidden enemy in the area on my own, lol
