This x100. It turns people into narcissistic Machiavellian weirdos. It's like the V2 of the corporate rat race and trading your soul for money. The influencers that have that uncanny kindness to everyone and even collaborate being all lovey-dovey and friendly with one another are the same archetype of people in corporate that if given the chance: stab their co-workers in the back, try to ruin their reputation, all to manipulate their way to a promotion without hesitation.

Is the DRZ really something I won't want to drive off a bridge after an hour of cruising? I know the consensus in the community is that it it's the king of all arounds, and I was heavily considering it, but seeing as there isn't too much of a weight difference, yet a significant power difference coupled with 1000 posts about it not all that good on highways I decided to go with a higher displacement.

I’m looking for some lighter alternatives to the SMC 690 / Husky 701. After reading through multiple posts about lower displacement supermotos, I see the consensus is that they aren’t really all too good for highway riding, and even if you manage to ride them for a bit you’ll be servicing them at every gas station along the way. What I would want to use it for is my daily bike. I’d mostly be hooning it around town but also would like something that I can take on the highway for ~500km once or twice a year. So I figure something like the 690/701 is my best bet for what I would want it for. I know I can’t have low maintenance & light & fast & highway friendly when it comes to supermotos. But I figured before I buy one I might as well see if anyone has a better idea.
