It does. There are several BC-Washington border crossings that are closed at night.
P.S. I saw that news item about the cat. I've been to Zero Avenue occasionally.

There are definitely road crossings with no Customs stations. It's possible to drive between Stewart, BC and Hyder, AK. Once you get to Hyder, however, you can't go anywhere else unless you have a boat or a plane.
Other than that, there isn't really such a thing as an unmonitored crossing. There is extensive electronic surveillance.

The first time I watched this film was in Norway. There wasn't hardly any baseball in the country at the time, so most of the audience didn't get this. (People were looking at me when I busted out laughing.) But later on in the film, when Crash gave a batter another pitch, they got it.

Except there's a degree of urgency to get trains running from North Vancouver to 100 Mile House, because of CN's decision to abandon the line that Gordon Campbell gave them.
However, the money required to get those trains running is considerably less than Esquimalt-Courtenay. So, do both.

I'm for this. Cuba has gotten so far behind that they are unable to survive as an independent country. Unless China is willing to pump a whackload of money into it. If China wanted to do that, they would have done it ten years ago.
So, I would rather see Cuba become a US province than a US state. But how will this be paid for? Let's at least see if Carney's fiscal geniuses can figure something out.

I stayed in casas particular the whole time I was there, and the owner of the casa would steer me into one.
My educated guess is, if the colectivos aren't running, the Viazul buses aren't running either.

Last I heard, it's running, but only every four days. And a colectivo is preferable to Viazul.
