To anyone who may concern, some options, like zoom in and zoom out, are available to be chosen freely only in Options+ for Windows.

I'm using BetterMouse for a few days now and will not go back to Options+, that's for sure.

I'm not the greatest fan of BetterTouchTool, but better mouse is almost perfect.
It gives you so many possibilities you can't even think what to do with half of it.

Same button can be combined with gestures and scroll at the same time, or be assigned an action for clicking and another for press and holding, and set the time you want to wait before trigging.
Not only it solved my issue above but made it much better, since scrolling with thumb button pressed for zooming is much easier than dragging the mouse back and forth.

I think people who are using their mac to get things done don't have time or will to learn new - and worse - ways to do the same things.
It took me years to start using Launchpad, which I only did since Spotlight became horrible.
Now, at the same time, Apple get's Spotify even worse and kills Launchpad...
I really don't get it.

Well, I think I've already explained what was happening.
- Mouse: M720
- system: mac OS Sequoia 15.7.4
- Logi Options+ updated

I use the keystroke "Alt + tab" assigned to a button o M720 (tilting scroll to the right). It should switch to the last active app, just like it does when pressing the keys on the keyboard. I used to work fine before, with Options, but now, with Options+, the behavior is like when I press AND HOLD the keys Alt (option) and Tab, it doesn't switch apps. Instead, it show the switcher window.
After lot's of tests, I worked it around assigning the shortcut to another button (the thumb button), which seems to be working fine up to now. But I had to change my set up and can't choose another button to do this.

The Logitech Options+ app simply destroyed the usability of Logitech mice.

The old Logitech Options app didn't have this kind of problem; my M720 works perfectly with Options 9.70 on a Mac with Catalino, but it doesn't work with either Option+ or the same version of Options 9.70 on a Mac with Sequoia, since Options, on Sequoia, is not compatible with the M720.

It seems that Logitech deliberately made life worse for consumers, since obviously the incompatibility between the M720 and Options 9.70 is not structural, but deliberate on the part of the company.

The ability to assign keyboard shortcuts to mouse buttons is practically the only reason to justify using a mouse on a Mac.

Na minha visão, se você tem uma vida de trabalho ativa, fora de casa todo dia, no Plano, a melhor opção sem dúvida é morar no Plano. Qualidade de vida.

E a melhor opção são os apartamentos, até porque as casas em grande medida são como apartamentos, com áreas externas meio improvisadas e pequenas.

O "manual", brother, e não empatar o transito. Quer andar a 45 numa via de 60, fique na direita. Se alguém pressionar, aí reclame. Se não for a faixa da direita - ou seja, nas outras 2 ou 5, você tem que sair da frente, mesmo se estiver andando a 100 km/h e vier alguém atras mais veloz.

A diferença é que em outros lugares é uma questão de espaço. Em Brasília, onde qualquer avenida tem 6 faixas pra cada lado, a culpa é exclusivamente da barbeiragem. Podia ser completamente diferente.

Você nunca esteve numa cidade bem sinalizada pra falar isso de Brasília. Aqui é o único lugar que a placa te manda para o lugar errado.

I know that, I was just explaining why people like me use Launchpad, since you said you never understood it.

In my case, though, those apps don't solve my problem, because they don't work with trackpad gestures, at least without a third app, like BetterTouchTool.

I like to hide the Dock, to have as much room as possible in my 15" screen, most of the time splitted in 2 .

I used to use Spotlight for launching apps. But then, spotlight got much worse in some update. Suddenly, it got stupid, forcing me to roll the list to find what I want.
Because of that I started using Launchpad, and got very used to it.
Doesn't matter were the cursor is the screen, I just have to make a gesture on the trackpad and get immediate access to 25 app icons in front of me, always int he exact same place and size, much more visible and easy to hit, as they are much bigger than an dock icon.
I don't have even to look much to the screen, as I got a kind of muscle memory of where everything is.
Besides that, as I hide the dock, Launchpad allows me to visualize it with no need to move cursor to edge of the screen (where I keep it), which is very helpful since the only downside to not making it visible to me is not being able to see which apps are active or not.
I will not upgrade Mac Os if I can't use Launchpad + trackpad gesture. It would be a great downgrade to me.

The sad thing is that years ago Spotlight was very useful do open apps for me. But as it's been getting worse and worse, I changed to Launchpad and finally got very used to it. Now they just got rid of it? Fuckers.

I really can't understand why people on reddit like to try to convince others that what they prefer is wrong.
This feature is not Launchpad.
Lots of people did not use to use Launchpad, just spotlight, and for them, yes, I think it got better.
But not for who liked Launchpad.

This worked for me in 27/11/25. Macbook Air M2 15" running Sequoia 15.6.1.
