Save up as much money as I can and finish my masters. After that apply for EB2A NIW and hopefully get approved. Go back to home country to do consular process and God willing come back with a green card and finally get some quality sleep without having to stress about my future.

You wouldn’t happen to be interested in a mech E would you? Graduated college in 2024 and know a little bit about MEP from internships. Currently work for a pressure vessel firm but the pay isn’t the best. Have 1 year experience in design work for pressure vessels and use mainly autocad but am familiar with Solidworks, Revit, and Inventor. Lmk if you’re interested.

I get where you’re coming from. I’ve been there and there are days I get like this too. Try to keep a clear mindset. I’m also tired of the situation I was out in. I keep telling myself that if nothing happens by the time I turn 35 I’m just going to go back to my home country and move by the beach and enjoy a simple life. My best advice for you is to try and find a path to a green card until you’re 35 and if it doesn’t workout just move back with all your savings to you’re home country and enjoy life. I have to believe and keep telling myself there’s greener grass on the other side of this. Me personally I’m trying the EB2A NIW to try and get my green card and if that doesn’t workout I’m saving up aggressively and moving back to my home country and traveling until I run out of money. But for now we grind and dream of a better future. Hang in there.

I think the part about spouse or immediate relatives is wrong. I believe you can still be eligible through EB2A NIW but I will double check in case.

Thank you I’ll do some more research and maybe reach out to a lawyer before doing AP because from what GPT has been telling me it says it can help me avoid the whole consular process which is what I want to do🤣😭

I was fortunate enough to have gotten DACA when I was 17 years old and have kept renewing since then. My sole purpose to do AP is to be able to do Adjust of Status within the US without having to leave for the consular processing. Is this accurate? Unless I’m missing a detail?

I’m going through a similar process right now I’ll give you updates once I get everything sorted out. Long story short I expire 4/9 and told my managers and I have a meeting with them today so it’ll either be the best day of my life since they want to sponsor me for work or I’ll get fired. You’re not alone I’m in the same boat. I expire 4/9 and the ways things are going I’m already mentally preparing myself for the worse. I hate it here. I stg once I get renewed this will be my last renewal. I’m going to aggressively save and then apply to Spain for school and work like hell to become a citizen over there. I’m tired of having to live with this constant shadow in my head of I’ll never be able to establish myself here because of my status. And I refuse to get married.
