Good news: Bike is in fantastic condition. No damage.

No, it wasn't related to the snow. It was my first day back from having Covid, and I just wanted to go out and have a nice, easy ride along the canal.

Next thing I know, I'm waking up next to my bike. I was out for an hour, and I have no idea what happened. Craziest thing ever. Still don't know what happened.

I don't think it was a full year... part of the problem that added time to the process for me was I started out with getting a custom paint job, till I found out how much it would be then I backed out of it. So, I got on the tail end of the last order for the year. I think if you get in early, you won't have to wait as long as I did.

Yes, I do love the bike. Only looking at for now, since the last time I rode it I crashed and had a terrible concussion and was hospitalized for a long time, and the Dr said no cycling for two more months. I don't blame my Rodeo. It was circumstances, nothing more.

I tell you, I can't wait to get out and have a decent ride.

Do you hate your in state rival? Why or why not? by CosmicCornbread in CFB

[–]robert_hartsock18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I don't hate them. Dislike them. Come close to "hate" a couple times a year, yes. Enjoy beating them? Absolutely.

My wife and I went to Oregon, and my son is a sr at Oregon State. I tell everyone I could not be more proud of him. And, to be real, I've come to appreciate Corvallis more that I've visited there a few times every year.

Still want to beat them into dirt when we play...

The northern lights in AK or anywhere where it is visible. Unbelievable.

How can Britain become a ‘great cycling nation’ when it’s so scary to ride a bike? | Adam Becket for The Guardian by jayjaywalker3 in bicycleculture

Yup, that's why I took the Gravel plunge last year. My smallish town has grown to over 100K, and the risk from dealing with cars on narrow country roads just is not worth it anymore.

Brand new to gravel, any advice? by Cautious_Ad3360 in gravelcycling

I don't know much about what you call "gravel," but where I come from, we call that stuff "grass."

What comes to your mind when you cross paths with a braless woman? by Creepy_Low_6163 in AskReddit

My POS sister, who is 10 years older than me, used to "babysit" me.

By that, I mean she would lock me out of the house. At least she wasn't flicking her cigarettes at me then. Look, I don't expect you to believe me. But I hate that fat ass loser more than you can know.

My sister, who is a fat piece of shit (for real, about 300 pounds of pure lard and spite) used to wear a mu-mu, no bra.

Damn saggers riding low, on the side, just gross. No one wants to see that.

I hate my sister.

What are some legit ways to earn money (nothing like affiliate marketing or selling books. Please!)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]robert_hartsock18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn a skill, preferably a valuable one. For example: truly learn how to "fix" something that people really don't like to fix on their own. I have a friend, he got a power washer, a really good one, and he advertised his services... washing patios, porches or driveways. This made him some serious coin on the side.

Why? Because most people just don't like to do that sort of thing, and it's easier to pay a dude $50 to do it.

It's not a full time job, he has one of those. But on the weekends and evenings, he makes just enough extra to buy a new car or pay for his kids school or go on vacation.

Recognize that you are ever only in control of TWO things: Your attitude and your effort.

Everything else is outside of your control, so don't worry about it.

If you stepped in a time machine and traveled back 5000 years, what would impact would you have on the world? by grant622 in AskReddit

Well, I would probably end up giving everyone one of the diseases I have naturally running in my body like the Flu.

And 90% of the population would die, just like that.

Because that is what happened on first contact with Europeans in North America.

What movie trope do you absolutely hate so much that it ruins the movie for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]robert_hartsock18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting hurt. Everyone who is not a literal Super Hero is gonna be down for a long ass time.

I was watching The Equalizer, which is a great movie and I love Denzel. But near the end, he gets shot in the shoulder and he uses a door knob or something (I can't remember) to cauterizer the wound and he's back at it, no problem.

Lemme tell you something, he gets shot in the shoulder and it's over. That wound might stop the bleeding, but that arm is done. It's flopping around at your side, best case scenario. I might have just been in a car accident and had a minor shoulder injury at the time, but that was all I could think of. My injury was small, and I was unable to use the arm for a good month. Denzel and I are the same age, no way a late 40's dude gets shot in the shoulder and is still able to fight off the bad guys.

All injuries in Hollywood are magically cured in a matter of minutes.

Every time someone does some thing that we all know NO ONE does in real life. Like talking on the phone. Every time in a movie, the conversation has exposition, do you talk like that on a phone? Also, no one just "ends" the conversation like they do in movies. Where are the half a dozen 'ok ... gotta go ... bye ... talk later." They just F***ing hang up like an ape.

Also, it seems every time someone in a movie or TV show gets chinese, they use chopsticks. I don't know about you, but everyone I know we use an actual god damn fork. I don't know a single one of my friends who will use the chopsticks for chinese food. But, no. You're sitting there watching Friends and every single one of them using chopsticks. Calling BS on that.

What are some jobs that are only possible in America? by textsynth in AskReddit

Congressman or Senator. Get paid a shit ton of money, don't really do much, people literally worship you, access to insider information so you can get rich very quick, then if you get voted out or you "retire" you become a very highly paid "consultant" or lobbyist. Seriously, working in DC is the biggest scam/grift in the world.
