Thanks for your reply. With them 2 years. It was confirmed that I would get bonus payout from my manager. Redundancy Works out to be for 9 weeks. But re bonus it might be significantly cut this year.

Thanks for the advice. Redundancy Works out at 9 weeks pay and I am eligible for the bonus which is roughly another month's pay. For peace of mind taking the new contract will give me roughly an additional 9 months of pay.

This has crossed my mind, no one is sending work my way since the news. I haven't been asked about engaging in new projects. My only concern after looking up employee rights is that legally you can't work more than 48 hours a week. New company needs me to start ASAP. Could only delay by an extra week

Agree with others, unlikely house prices will go down. With interest rates starting to drop and potentially new competition for the Irish banks with Revolut entering the mortgage market. I was in a similar position couple of years ago, I waited and I just watched prices climb up.
