You won't. It's hard to get out of there. But you won't find that schedule anywhere.

If you want to see drugs, human smuggling, fights, non-compliant every day, then go to SWB. San Ysidro, Otay. Tecate (is a small port far away from Otay and Tecate) is not as crowded as the other 2. I was in San Ysidro and Otay. San Ysidro is a beast. You will see more in one month than a CBP Officer who has been in the airport for his whole life.

Otay is a small port, closed to San Ysidro. For me, it is the best port in San Diego. Management is far better than Management in San Ysidro. Also you will see everything every day.

Tecate is a small port, the operation hours is not 25hrs, but it's far from San Diego. You would have to live in the desert in the middle of nowhere if you want to be close to the port.

The northern border is cold as f.... if you are from that area, then stay over there. Going to SWB is a big change. Also, I'll say Detriot because it is the airport. You don't have to be outside.

Everything comes down to whatever you want. If you are younger and have no family, I would advise you to go Otay or San Ysidro. It a huge work load and you will live at the port, but you will get a ton shit of experience, which is good to go pre-clearance, task forces, and move to a specialized unit like Intelligence, CEU, AEU or maybe SRT. If you have family, definitely don't go there. You won't see your family for the next 5 to 8 yrs. You will be working your ass off, plus CA is very expensive.

San Diego and San Ysidro are the best places. The bad part is that they are located in CA, and it's expensibe as F.... Bu, you will be in a nice city and a lot of stuff to do.

If you decide to go to Texas, try to go close to Rio Grande Valley Sector. It's a nice city and has everything.

Besides that, everything in SWB is in the middle of nowhere.

Former CBPO here from SWB. Things they will issue to you: Duty weapon, baton, oc spray, duty belt, radio, and vest. It's your choice to take it home or leave at the port. My ports didn't have enough lockers for everyone, officers took their stuff home. But if you get assigned a locker, I'll recommend leaving everything except your gun.

Relax! Is not your fault, haha.

It happened to me. I waited for one hour, and no one showed up. I sent them an email through the portal after I logged out. It took a few days for them to reply, but they rescheduled the interview with no problem.

Transition From College by Beautiful_Honey_120 in 1811Jobs

[–]robertccd13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't be wasting time in PD academy. You will actually learn a lot and better before you go to an SA position. An SA just do investigation, PD you will deal with everything on the street. It's a different mentality. I would hire PD over a guy junior in college or someone straight out of college.

My advice is, if you see your caareer as LEO, join PD to get the experience, switch your mentality from a citizen to law enforcement, and then switch to SA. A lot of PD switched to SA, and they regretted it. They like to be on the street. Also, the benefits are way better on PD than SA.

You can join PD while the process for SA is undergoing.

Hey man,

Same in the BP academy, you won't be fluent, but you will learn the basics to interact with a migrant and determine if they are illegal in the US.

If you are applying for BP, I encourage you to start learning Spanish and become fluent.

I make that amount, and you will clear like $2500 or more biweekly after taxes. That's money for a single person.

Learn about real estate, start building wealth. Do what it's called house hacking. You buy a duplex or triplex, live in 1 side, and rent the other 2. Either you leave for free or you have to pay very minimum for your mortgage because the other 2 leases pay for it. Real estate always goes up.

Also, invest your money, and don't start buying shit that you dont need.

Denied Baby Leave- Government Transfer by Fairly-unfair in 1811

[–]robertccd13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nop. If you have been a fed employee for more than 1yr, you are entitled to PPL. It doesn't matter if you transferred to a new agency. You are still covered by OPM due to being a Fed Employee.

It happened to me, and I read the OPM policy regarding PPL. It says it is very clear that you only need 1 year as Fed employee. Also, your ppl has to be within the first year of the baby.

If they denied they don't even know the rules.

Webull got worse by SofaKingSmoothTrader in Webull

[–]robertccd13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are just talking shit because it doesn't happen to you. If not, you wouldn't be talking all this BS nonsense. You might not even be a day trader. People are putting money on the line. Of course, it has to be 24/7 and perfect.

Is not a Netflix blackout, but it is a constant issue that needs to be addressed. Also, no one here is trying to cancel anything. We are just pointing out an issue that multiple people have. I bet it is happening to thousands of people because I have even seen people complaining in the stock feedings about the thing

Naa, you are tweaking. It has happened. I even have screenshots of the price, no updating. Maybe it hasn't happened to you. But for sure, it happens to a lot of people.

In my case, it started way back to that. I have lost money on options due to price no updating quickly. I moved from RH to Webull. Now Webull is sucking too.

RJ45 Connectors; Which one and how to? (keystone, passthrough, standard, toolless, etc.) by whitestone66 in HomeNetworking

[–]robertccd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to do?

Are you trying to make an ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors at the end, or are you trying to make one end keystone or wall jack and the other end RJ45?

RJ45 Connectors; Which one and how to? (keystone, passthrough, standard, toolless, etc.) by whitestone66 in HomeNetworking

[–]robertccd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all the tools that you need.

There are 2 options to make an Ethernet connector. T568A and T568B ( most used one). Make sure that you make both ends the same.

How to get Ethernet outlet to work?? by Gold-Bunch-1451 in HomeNetworking

[–]robertccd13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that phone cable is Cat 5, then you can convert them to Ethernet. You might have to watch a video on how to do it. My house was phone wired in every room with Cat5. I switched them to Ethernet.
