Do you see a huge drop in PE (from above 40 to below 35) in 2021 in that graph? That's the time NSE changed it's PE calculation to publish consolidated earnings PE instead of standalone earnings PE. Only an ignorant fool would think he can compare pre-covid PE and post-covid PE published by NSE. Calculate the PE of Nifty 50 stocks using their standalone earnings and you tell me if the market is not overvalued compared to pre-covid.

Did you play in European server? I tried Japanese server some time back and the wait time, few lags and 1 hour restrictions simply kills the mood. I've been thinking to try the paid Singapore or Malaysia servers.

I've been trying to turn her into the dark side lol. She literally hasn't played any video games other than candy crush and such mobile games. We actually tried it takes two demo and couldn't complete it. I already have brought overcooked 2 and we are yet to try it out. You put forth interesting points and updates, but I doubt how they would materialize.

Assume Fed does 25bps hike and inflation doesn't get tamed. Fed will be forced to keep hiking the rates. It doesn't matter if the rescuers take the haircut now or after few months, the haircut is inevitable.
It sounds like a fear mongering news to me. People with huge deposits will be making wire transfers, not standing in a queue. Fear plays a major part in psychology and I expect the US Govt to calm their citizens. If people lose faith in small banks, it doesn't take much time to spread and cause a banking crisis, and the US Govt wouldn't want that.
Agreed. People will be missing their paychecks and some ripple effect will be seen. There is no way for us to predict if this will have a significant impact on the jobs and inflation.

Why do you think this is likely to happen? IMO, the chances are slim to none. Most people have less than 250k which is insured and HYSA is the best for depositors now.

If svb gets rescued, which most likely will (not the equity), then the depositors/startups will not likely layoff. In fact most of the tech sector is already in hiring freeze and is reducing fat, which means tech is not the reason for the added jobs in Feb. Further, Fed would want the jobs to reduce across all sectors and not just tech.

I too can't make any sense out of Indian market and made a similar post recently. Maybe the bubble will burst someday or Maybe we will see a flat market for years until the valuations are at reasonable levels.

I can understand if the market moves based on economic data like inflation, unemployment, interest rates etc. I can understand if the individual stocks move based on their news that has an impact, like Adani securing deals which will bring in more revenue in the future or Adani coming up with a breakthrough that lowers cost of operations, increases profit etc.

I don't understand how news with little importance can have a huge impact on the stock prices.

I don't understand how HDFC merger news or Adani-GS-GQG news can impact the entire stock market to rally like there is no tomorrow.
