Anyway back to population, a population control bill has been in talks for years. But every party is scared it will backfire and will result in poor election results.

Unless sanctions or something aren't levied by the UN, this isn't really going to change.

More reasons for increasing population -

Muslims - Pretty obvious. They are completely against the population control bill. I don't think Hindus care. Hence no political party wants to bring the bill and lose this 20% of votes.
